    The human brain is not fully developed until one is in their 20's. We are just now discovering this. Therefore, one with a brain still in the process of developing is more likely to make irrational decisions, like shooting a large group of people. You don't need a lot of statistics to put the pieces together. By restricting access to firearms until the person is of an age where the brain is more developed, that person is less likely to commit actions based on irrational decision-making.

    So by your logic hammers that are used in murder are at fault for the killing? Guns are just tools that do what they are instructed to - by PEOPLE

    Rifles (all types) killed 374 in 2016
    Hands & Feet (all types) killed 656 in 2016

    Someone should tell the evil rifles they aren't, ah evil enough?

    The number of violent crimes, especially mass murders, committed by those who are at the age of twenty one or above, suggests that such is not the case. There is no standard under which shooting at a large group of people, or attempting to kill others, is a rational, well thought out decision arrived at by a sound mind. And yet such is done regularly by those who are twenty one years or older.

    Who should dictate gun policy? Bloomberg?

    While there are only about five million NRA members there is somewhere around 80,000,000 gun owners in the U.S. That number represents about 1 in 3 American adults.

    I keep seeing these type of comments about the NRA. I have to assume that people making them don't understand that the NRA only represents somewhere around 6% of American gun owners.

    I'm with you there. Now let's move the age for military draft to 21 and amend the Constitution so the voting age is also 21. Maybe we should also make 21 the legal age for driving a car.

    Sidebar: while we are working on that draft law lets also start requiring 21 year old women to register.
