You are correct that the first interaction is not in the video, but it sounds like they just told him to use the crosswalk, and he ignored them and did it twice more. I would like to see the first incident. I doubt they even got out of the car.

Even when the suspect is wrong, the police officer must remain in control of their self and of the situation without the beating.

 

As much crime as there is going on that is the best these officers have to do is harass a man about Jay Walking. Solve some of these robberies, stop the flow of drugs, stop some of these murders, but no these officers are following a man down the street to see if he stays on the side walk. Unfuckingbelievable.

they were wearing uniforms not suits so they're not Detectives they don't do that. Just because there's uniform Patrol doesn't mean there's not Detectives doing what detectives do.

Jaywalking is traffic code. The most impact they can have on someone's life is enforcing traffic code.

Your link states that pedestrians are being run over when crossing at the crosswalks due to drivers not yielding to pedestrians. It also mentions narrow, hilly and curvy roads and high tourist numbers. So it seems that it is mainly tourists getting run over. None of these examples correspond to the event in the OP where the roads were empty, wide, straight and flat.
