And not just the parent's. These protests then get too much coverage, and Politicians then tell us "Americans are crying out for help on gun violence" Got to have those protests to get the whole thing rolling.
Yeah, no they aren't being properly educated in the real meaning of the articles and amendments. You can tell by how they're demanding 2nd amendment rights be infringed upon, amongst other things.
Gotta understand, allowing you to have any firearms at all is the compromise to them. And that’s why there really can be no compromise.
"Disarm people who display warning signs of violent behavior" Out of curiosity who will decide what the warning signs are? Will they be based on statistics or will they be based on votes? I am not against certain ideas as to gun laws, but that is INCREDIBLY broad as to what it can cover and it could easily be used against "you" when the other side is inevitably in power. This just scares the crap out of me as it screams of authoritarianism
They know the real and genuine interpretation which is why they are steadfastly and relentlessly going to undo the distorting of it done by an activist judge.
Do you agree that the OP basically saying the same thing (but flipped) is equally ridiculous? Or is saying "bitter angry old white men with guns" a different story?
Facebook. Twitter. The usual. Normally I would agree with you, but these days? I wouldn't put it past them.
Indeed. I've tried several times to explain to gun grabbers: Saying "comply or I'll **** you to death" isn't a compromise. Its a threat.
Well, there can be due process. Just like children can be taken away from violent parents by child protective services.
Have been busy all day, so not able to reply. However, it looks like nobody answered the question of why Trump and the GOP are not listening to these students, but they bend to every whim of the NRA? As predictable, however, there are lots of attacks on the integrity of those protesting students.
Then maybe they should learn what an "Assault weapon" is before marching to ban them. As far as your false statement about "Repubs don't realize is that these teens WILL be voting" everyone knows they will eventually vote. At first, they will vote dem. Once they get their first paycheck and see what was deducted, some will change.
Why should a young 20 year old woman living on her own in a dangerous neighborhood or out in a secluded rural area not be allowed to own a gun for her protection?
There was a school in my area that conducted a "walk up". They walked up to everyone to make sure they all feel included in the student body. Here is a solution that the students can actually do themselves to possible help solve the issue of killer students, instead of hoping someone else solves the problem. I was very proud that were problem solving.
I'm going to put NRA stickers at every polling place in America and these snowflakes will be running for safe spaces instead of voting.
No assault weapon was used in the florida massacre Cruz passed a background check And the last demand is non sensical People displaying warning signs of violent behaviour need to be put in a hospital not merely disarmed
Feb. 26: California students turn violent during anti-gun rally https://www.nbcnews.com/video/calif...olent-during-anti-gun-rally-1170647619609?v=b And we adults should be looking to them for guidance? Chanting no more guns..........have they not studied the Constitution and our founding? Laughing and giggling as they disrupt private business and destroy private property? Liberal sloganeering. Hyperventilating in the hyperboles. If they want to stop gun violence why aren't they marching in the urban areas of Chicago, LA, Newark, Memphis, Atlanta, Birmingham and about every major city in the United States. Why aren't they marching to support the Police trying to stop gun violence and they themselves getting killed in the process? Why are they protesting the failure of the system to stop the Parkland shooter and in support of the bill Congress just passed today to help secure schools.
1) temporary custody things are done the way they are done with CPS because it involves a live person with rights but no agency who the state must act in the best interest of. (the child). Making it permanent, getting a Termination of Parental Right, is damn near impossible most times. They've got to pretty much catch you trying to saw the kids head off or shoot them up with heroin. This is because a TPR once ruled on is entirely permanent. Not even SCOTUS can overturn it. (no ****). That is not the same thing when you're talking about a citizen who is being adjudicated as a ward of the state going forward but then possesses all their rights and agency. You can't simply swipe their ****. 2) This process already exists. A family member, doctor etc can move to have someone adjudicated mentally unfit. They get notice. They get the right to be heard. Etc. But the consequences don't take place until you prove your case. Various states add their police powers to the process and do things like the Baker act in florida, adding to the persons who can file on you and allowing them a temporary hold under extreme circumstances which can be parlayed into a long stay on someone who is ACTUALLY crazy and a trip to court. But these are provisions that MUST occur ONLY at the state level. The feds lack a health safety style police power, unlike the states. (note this does not mean the feds have no LAW ENFORCEMENT POWERS, "police power" is a term of art in constitutional law.)
There is no such thing as an "assault weapon". Liberals created that name for "big scary guns". If we banned all AR-15's, does anyone actually believe that would eliminate mass shootings?
That's the kind of childish response id expect from one of the protesting teenagers, it's no wonder you can relate to them
Liberalism and violence seem intertwined. I'd say a huge amount of this country's violence is committed by the people who cry about wanting tolerance, peace and acceptance - and if you don't give it to them they'll bash your head in.
Integrity? 90% of those kids are just there to get out of class! The other 10% are sucking down tide pods......And we are supposed to let them determine our laws?
