More California Cities Seek to Defy ‘Sanctuary State’ as Revolt Spreads

I'm not a lawyer but I'll try to give you the gist of what I hear. Local police departments are not required by law to cooperate with federal police. It is better if they do but there is no legal requirement. What they fail to do is to inform ICE or other federal authorities when they release aliens from custody. They don't actually get in the way of federal authorities, they simply don't help them.

They are hurting their own citizens but it is less important to them than the political gain they enjoy from importing future democrat votes. Nothing illegal just truly ugly partisan politics.

All foreign nationals should have a federal id. It really is that simple, to make money instead of lose money, right wingers.

 

Unfortunately, I think it should be illegal for federal government to provide money to state and local governments. They are taxing bodies and the funding is used as bribes, as you have pointed out. So federal funding for state and local governments should all be removed.

As a California resident myself, I welcome this change. I’m sick of my state putting the needs of illegal immigrants over the needs of tax payers! It’s ridiculous! Hoping my own district follows suit (though I seriously doubt it, but a girl can dream).

And perhaps in the past, at least one time in our history, the local police did cooperate with the feds? I would think that would be the case. Never needed a law to force the local police to cooperate with the feds until sanctuary cities arose. I guess.

 

Well if the ten commandments were actually followed to the letter a lot of what is wrong in todays civilization would be anymore. People wouldn't be whining about murderers, you would have to lock you cars and home if no one stole other property, the leftist wouldn't be complaining about Trump/Thou shalt not covet

The point is, we could be making money via applied Capitalism instead of losing money via applied Socialism.

Are you talking legal or illegal? Legal immigrants, vetted and checked are QUITE different than those running over the fence and working for cash. We simply can't let people ignore our laws. No point in having citizenship then. And whats too intrusive about punishing states that thumb their noses at the rest of the country?
