Other than one time, I just simply missed it, you’ll notice I write it as ‘assault’ rather than assault. I assume you know the difference in meaning.

Whether or not I have guns will not change school shootings at all. I refuse to try to speak for the rest of the population. We all have our reasons for having or not having guns.

Well, since they use AR type guns, shotguns, semi auto handguns and revolvers that would mean we’d have to remove pretty much all types guns from society. Is that your preference?

    I don't think so :)

That's how you might like it done in your world. But we here in MY world don't want to be punished for things bad people do. That's the type of treatment Sheeple embrace!

Well not at first, but soon as those bad people use another type of weapon, they will be forced to once again
See how they spin that sticky web :) Notice how there is no mention of how to remove the Murderers and criminals?

Factually incorrect. No prior rulings by the united state supreme court were overturned by the Heller decision, and such cannot be proven otherwise by yourself. If such could be done, the overturned cases would be cited by yourself. Since such was not done, no such development occurred.

Factually incorrect. The argument being made is that there is not a single country in the world, that has ever possessed anywhere near the number of firearms that are possessed by the united states. Every country cited by yourself has never possessed anything beyond a tiny fraction of the number of firearms currently circulating in the united states. They have never had to contend with the concept of there being more firearms than individuals to own them.

And yet the firearms are indeed there, and they are not going anywhere. Therefore there is no point in discussing something that cannot come to pass. Get off of the nonsense of how things would be better if there were no firearms, because that is not going to happen. Not in the united states, and certainly not in other nations around the world.

There is a process in place for updating the united states constitution if such is needed. It is the amendment process. It simply requires thirty eight states to agree that a matter is important enough to address by the method.

Accept it, do not accept it, it makes no difference. There is nothing that can be done to prevent such from occurring, so long as the focus remains on the implement, and not on the individual.

And yet the most recent school shooting was carried out with firearms that would be legally available in the nation of Australia.

I'm fully aware of the process of updating the constitution, it's mentioned every day.

But rather than talking about it, they need to do it. The need is way past the important stage.

Shotguns are legal in Australia and the UK, sawn off ones are not.

Leaving your firearms available for others to touch or take in the UK is not legal. The Brits take the ownership of firearms seriously, big difference to America. The shooters father should be jailed for life.

It's this laissez-faire attitude to guns and gun safety that's concerning and and issue.

We should also make the owner of a vehicle liable when the vehicle in question is stolen and then used in a crime.

    Seems like a fantastic idea.

Correction. We have mass shootings because people are fcuked up.
My gun, that is fun to target shoot with, has never been used in a mass shooting.

So what is the purpose of mandating trigger/gun case locks?

For the same reason they don't mandate you keep your prescription drugs locked up.
