We have an event and two completely different "takes"on it

an intel asset made contact with Carter Page and George Papa because of their contact with Russian spies.

Trump is calling that "a spy embedded in his campaign". On it's face that is a lie. The guy was never "embedded" in anything.

Separate from that the FBI was investigating the Trump campaign because of Papa's bragging about Russian contacts . That eventually grew into the Mueller campaign.

The claim is that this was a political "spying" endeavor when the fact is...the FBI kept it secret throughout the campaign . Had they leaked that there was an investigation it likely could have resulted in a different electoral outcome.

The idea that the FBI was choosing sides and that the side they chose was Clinton is absurd.

On the one hand they were very public about investigating Clinton (including a bogus "reopening" of said investigation days before the election) and very secretive about an investigation of the Trump team having contact with Russian spies.

If the FBI tilted the scales...they tilted them towards Trump

 

Watergate is not even on the same planet as the totalitarianism tactics employed by Obama.
