Saving America from conservative lunatics

After over 20 years I’d talk radio and other forms of conservative media, the volcano blew and those same conservatives have taken over America. The Rush Limbaugh-Sean Hannity type of people, going to the far right positions of federalism and nationalism. Say what you will about the left, but the real lunatics have taken over. With each Democratic victory, a million conspiracy theories against that victory are made. Only in such a toxic environment could someone like Roy Moore be nominated.

Now those same lunatics are jumping on progressivism, with no agenda of their own to benefit American families. The desperation to pin progressives as America haters and the total freak out over Alexandria’s victory in New York shows these people aren’t interested in helping America, but being power hungry, circling around their authoritarian in the White House.

A message is good when it provokes fear, and this is why conservatives are in damage control over the 28-year olds victory. Healthcare as a human right and keeping families together beat fowl breaths of nationalistic hawks. This is how America can be saved from conservative lunatics.

 

Have you seen or read any news lately, the lunatics you rant about seem to be on the left. May I mention Waters and Peter Fonda???????????

The Trump grassroots movement was not a "conservative" movement, but anti statist. There's a huge difference. Wonder if/when the left will ever get it through their thick skulls and thin skins that the people who elected Trump aren't particularly "conservative" just fed up with big, corrupt, thieving, central government?

The devil are you talking about? Federalism and nationalism are opposing ideas. Federalism is government with checks and balances on it, power divided not only between different branches, but between different levels of government. Nationalism is the belief of the supremacy of the centralized nation state.

 

Unfortunately, Trump has drained the swamp and filed it with sewer rats. I don't think the good folks and neighbors I see every day that voted for Trump intended for this to happen. These are decent people, not the 31-39% of the sewer rats that destroyed decency and the GOP. Tragic to see a party I supported for over half my life become corrupted by radical alt-Right thugs. Reagan would be ashamed of what the GOP has become. He was a good and decent man.

 

And you right wingers aren't seem the exact same kind of thieving by Dirty Donald,Price,Pruitt and Zinke,who all are enriching themselves at taxpayers expense??

 

Have you looked at the Clinton's and Obama's net worth before and after leaving office? Who is enriching whom.

 

You know, the real tragedy is this: there are plenty of good sensible people who are liberals. There are plenty of good sensible people who are conservatives. And there are plenty of good sensible people who are independents.

But of course 'good' and 'sensible' doesn't get the headlines and photos and YouTube postings. Most of the good and sensible are too busy earning a living, raising a family, to go into politics, or, dare I say it, get into lengthy arguments on discussion boards.

You could think, from reading the papers and surfing the internet, and even from scanning political discussion boards, that everyone on the Left is a hate-filled anti-Fa in a black mask keen to throw a half brick at a Republican grandmother, and to shut down Charles Murray's talks on university campuses, while forcing your grandchildren to study homosexual fisting techniques in school You could also get the impression that everyone on the Right is a hard-hearted white bigot who would make homosexuality illegal, let unemployed workers starve to death, and force your grandchildren to learn that the earth is only 4500 years old.

Some day ... some how ... a set of credible, decent politicians are going to emerge from the wreckage of the Democrats and Republicans, and put together a new force in the US. It probably won't be called the Good and Sensible Party, but that's what it will be.

Alexandria is not a progressive. She is a Democratic Socialist. The DSA supports the abolition of private ownership of the means of production, they are not social democrats.

She won approximately 4.5% of the electorate in a 9% turnout election.
