    https://www.abc12.com/content/news/...ems-from-billionaire-Elon-Musk-495276151.html

Elon Musk is the American billionaire who is the CEO of Tesla Motors, the electric car company. He is also the CEO of SpaceX, the private space exploration company currently working on sending private citizens into space to orbit the moon.

He is, in my opinion, a decent human being. The donation to Flynt schools proves it.

How about some good news for a change?

You mean you cannot take it with you? Someone should tell the Republican trickle down representatives that coffins don't have pockets. What have they done for anyone lately except rob the treasury via tax cuts for their cronies. Kudos to Musk!

I like this. I like to see people stepping up to do good like this. Instead of everything having to be legislated to death and then paid for by the taxpayers. Plus, I bet it would have cost 10x more and taken twice as long to implement, if our government had gotten their hands in it.

I wish more of the uber wealthy would do more things like this.

I wonder if this donation will be tax deductible.

Musk has decided to share the wealth ... of the billion$ he received in tax subsidies? Musk closed more than a dozen taxpayer subsidized solar facilities recently. For years Obama wastefully carved out earmarks for eco friendly initiatives, and set aside nothing for Flint. Finally in in Oct 2018, Obama earmarked $ 80 million for Flint. Obama & Musk have guilty consciences.

I don't know what your point is, but Musk's company Tesla now has solar roof shingles that are easier and less expensive than solar panels.

I agree.........the feds should have stepped in and solved this issue a while ago however. Nevertheless, good on Musk and for the Flynt citizens.

"Less" expensive? Could you be MORE ambiguous? The question of cost -vs- savings? That analysis including purchase, install, and lifespan. Are there subsidies? I'm not convinced floating Musks endeavors is worth the cost being passed on to taxpayers.

I look foward to the day the US doesn't need a power grid. I don't think backing failed start ups with tax subsidies is prudent. Musk hasn't only disappointed stockholders, he's disappointed taxpayers. Tesla was a genius to but his wireless power grid vision was impractical and problematic. Wireless cell charging devices the only real product of that grand vision. I'd encourage Musk to continue, but without taxpayer subsidies. When he has a cost effective, reliable alternative, tax incentives for buyers will be justifiable.

Republicans want tax cuts for everyone. But you can't give tax cuts to the bottom half who don't pay taxes.

Why are you against taxes subsidizing research? It is how it is done, ya know? It is also Constitutional, promoting the general welfare and all.

The state should have fixed it first. Plenty of money at that level to fix the problem they caused.

Are these particulate filters and UVc or just just UVc? I could find no information on the filters at all to see if they were a gimmick (UV only) or actually useful UV+particulate.

From the wiki tap water is now drinkable that they switched back water supplies.
