Even if statistics didn't back my statement, which they do, it would still make OP a hypocrite and my point would still stand. So why are you bothering?

OP doesn't have evidence about the next survivor's story, yet, that was his claim : "Every time I see one of these hoaxes it diminishes the credibility of the next survivor's story."

My answer was that statistically more survivor's story ends up being proven true than false. Therefore if a survivor's story being proven false makes OP believe less in the next survivor's story, then a survivor's story being proven true should make him believe more in the next survivor's story (if he was consequent and didn't have a bias). So as statistically more story are proven true than false, then with the type of "logic" he is showing, he should believe the next survivor's story.

Why didn't you attack him? Is it because of a bias that stops you from thinking logically?
