What's even sadder is how willing you are to sell out just not to offend. Then use emotional blackmail to try and justify your non-existent position.
'Political correctness' hasn't gone anywhere near as 'mad' as some of those who are freaked out by not being able to be sexist and racist (or who want others to be outraged about not being able to be sexist and racist, in the hope that they end up allowed to be sexist and racist again) would have people believe. It's not rocket science - being a bit racist isn't OK, and being sexist isn't OK, and dismissing or abusing people because of their sexuality or religion isn't OK, and so on. It's easy enough to do, and most people manage it without giving it a second thought. It just boils down to 'don't be unpleasant to, or about, other people or groups and their various personal characteristics (even if those are different from one's own)'. The vast majority of 'rules' about it are just ordinary common sense - a few get over-sensitive about applying them too harshly in a panic about being seen to be doing the right thing (making silly assumptions about what 'the right thing' is, instead of taking the trouble to find out), but that's just ordinary human stupidity. Unfortunately, we live in an atmosphere where a single piece of such ordinary human stupidity is blown up out of all proportion by those who aforementioned sorts who want everyone to be outraged about it all, but that is also just ordinary human stupidity. When it comes down to it, humans are very capable of stupidity of course, but the vast majority of people are perfectly capable of understanding that 'being a bit anything-ist' is a bad thing, that they really shouldn't do it any more (if they ever did), and they should listen to others and be prepared to apologise if they ever inadvertently make a mistake. The vast majority of people are also very tolerant to people inadvertently making mistakes, as long as they are prepared to listen to why what they did was a mistake, and to apologise if necessary. It really shouldn't be a big issue at all. A small minority on both 'sides' making a big fuss about something that's just everyday common sense to most of us (or certainly should be by now), probably mostly trying to wind each other up and create a storm where there really doesn't need to be one. As for comedy, it's doing fine. Things don't have to be 'something-ist' to be funny. That was always the case, obviously, but people didn't used to understand the implications of it in the way that we thankfully do now, so they did it without really thinking about it. There's no shortage of great comedy around now, and most of the comedy that involved such stuff was always cheap, mindless rubbish anyway.
I am just stating fact, Trump did in fact do those things, in fact many before he was even elected, which means anyone that voted for him did not care that he did those things
American style right wing PC is a curse upon society and the world well beyond the evils in Orwell's 1984.
Funny how any question posed upon Trump is viewed by him as racist and hate filled. Just watch his last news conference.
The only Right Wing, Conservative "PC" that exists for us who love the United States is that of allegiance to the CONSTITUTION. ] Again and again, we've seen that our Constitution, as written and legally amended, is ANATHEMA to those of the radical, rabidly Left-Wing of the Democrat Party and others who would rather see this country become just another bankrupt, crime-ridden, third-world shithole.... That ideal Leftist revision for American would create the perfect background for Orwell's "1984", with the vast majority of people reduced to becoming "proles"... remember?
