    Gut feeling = feelz.

And a crutch for ignoring the actual facts of the incident.

No it's called PROFILING. Which would be why the owner was "worried for the safety of other" when she asked this person to leave. Was it because she had a laptop ? Was she worried because this person was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie like very other college aged student in the world ? Was it because she was a woman in a hoodie? Or was it because she was a black woman wearing a hoodie ? Which one of those things made her worry for the "safety of the other patrons" ?

What creates a "gut instinct" is profiling of races.

    And Charleston Heston.

Why aren't you calling Jesse Jackson racist for his comments?

I would think my lack of enthusiasm towards you mentioning him would speak for itself.

Lost in there, however is for all his supposed fear of black people following him on the street is the fact that actual white supremacists had an actual plot to kill him, among other folks.

Far more blacks die to blacks than white supremacists.

Sometimes pure instinct serves you better than facts. You can sit there and lie to others about why you called the cops all you want, but I can truly trust you’re not being honest when someone claims it wasn’t about race.

And not one of those blacks plotted to kill him.

    Customer:
a person or organization that buys goods or services from a store or business.
    She didn't buy anything.

Just because there was some racist thing that happened in one place doesn't qualify everything that happens as racist. That's stupid.

The manager probably did have problems with people loitering. I would not let people loiter in my business either.

    Loitering:
Loitering is the act of remaining in a particular public place for a protracted time without any apparent purpose.

Jesse Jackson is old and has Parkinson's disease now. I have a great deal of respect for him, for paving the way

The employee had no need to call the police unless she had asked White to leave first but she wouldn’t. I don’t see any need for that.

Other than that, though, I would assume from the details that the employee was new, as White states she had never seen her before. Therefore, it’s perfectly logical to believe that the employee was unaware that White was a regular, and was simply following company policy in regards to using their WiFi without making a purchase. I also don’t see the connection between her outfit and her race. Why does she describe what she is wearing to support her feeling (as she described it) of being racially profiled?

Using the laptop seems like an actual purpose to me.

Maybe is was because they were running a business and having people there that are not buying anything does not help their business.
If the loiterer wasn’t going to buy anything she should have gone to the local library.

Seems like loitering if you aren't a customer.

What is the purpose of a Dunkin' Donuts? Why does the owner rent the property, paid the franchise fee, pay people to work the store, purchase the raw ingredients and MAKE DONUTS AND COFFEE?

You could make the same argument for any establishment, whether it’s a DD, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Panera Bread, etc, folks go there and do work all the time.

"Then she called it a safety issue, PEOPLE who loiter and make her customers feel unsafe."

So she doesn't let ANYONE loiter.

Loitering is still against the law, or is that racist too?

It would depend upon the details and dynamics of the situation. If I were finished, I would leave peacefully. If I had more to do, I would buy something.
