Word on the street is the Alt-Right wants to start infiltrating our meetings in an effort to recruit new members and/or sabotage us. Apparently something went down in Charlottesville that wasn’t good PR for them and they’re also angry we refused to “unite the right.” I’m being told they are going to pretend not to be Alt-Right so they can come to meet-ups and gather as much info as possible. They also plan to get caught doing terrible things while wearing our shirts in an effort to discredit us. It’s a strange strategy but they’re not known for being reasonable.

Please be very diligent about new members. If there is even a possibility they are Alt-Right, do not allow them at meet-ups. If you know of anyone who is presently a member and who is Alt-Right, they are cut from the club as of right now. If you refuse, you are your own separate entity and not affiliated with Proud Boys.

1. HOW DO I KNOW IF A MEMBER IS ALT-RIGHT?

The two big differences we have with them is the “JQ” and racial identity politics. They think the Jews are responsible for America’s problems and they think “Western” is inseparable from “white.” They don’t see a future for non-whites in America. **** THAT. We reject all of those things. We openly encourage Jewish and non-white members and want them to know they’re at home with us. Black and Jewish conservatives have to put up with a lot of **** and the last thing we want is for them to feel uncomfortable when hanging out with their drinking buddies.

Other signs of the Alt-Right include an obsession with Hitler, saying socialism might work, seeing gays as degenerates and eschewing Christianity. These all pale in comparison to the two biggies. The second you see signs of JQ or white nationalism, show them the door. To be clear: All white nationalists / anti-Semites are banned from Proud Boys even if they never bring up said topics.

 

Again, you act like violence is limited to homicide.

I don't act as if it is limited to homicide, first of all the hate crimes data for 2017 is not out yet so I don't have data on assaults. Left wingers and right wingers beat each other up, that's not unsurprising on the political extremes, but I do think homicides are far more serious and significant and should not be minimized.

I know perfectly well the definition and how I am using the term, I have presented data you present small discreet narratives which don't on their own paint the picture you are trying to illustrate.

Is there violence from leftists? Yes. Is it a problem? Yes. Is it as big a problem for our law enforcement agencies? At this time no, white supremacists extremists clearly demonstrate a significant danger to the public that needs to be addressed.

 

Because those "tolerant" liberals are prone to violence at the slightest provocation, real or imagined.

I also denounce the political violence of the Proud Boys. I may have more sympathies for the Anti-fascists since I too hold very strong views against Fascism, I just don't think their tactics work at all nor is their end game in any way desirable. I hold no association or allegiance to antifa and think their activities play into the hands of people like you, and that we should have sufficient law enforcement to protect counter protesters from white supremacists.

I want to win at the ballot box and you don't do that by punching people, or at least only if you're punching people at the ballot boxes which I hope does not happen here.
