Former FBI Counterintelligence guy, Mark Wauck, writes on the Russian hoax and wonders if the Deep State is beginning to feel the heat over it's meddling in the US election that saw Trump elected. When their meddling failed he says their efforts turned to a coup d'etat to overthrown the Trumpet.

Besides the name Christopher Steele being one of those "names" the Brits are worried about, I also wonder of Sergei Skripal might be there too?

My own sense of what Trump is doing in trying to make this information public is to extract concessions and commitments behind the scenes and that this will ultimately go nowhere. But it certainly seems to have upset the Brits. After all, it seems evident that it was they who were actually interfering (on behalf of Hilary et al) in the election. But time will tell.

Great source. "American Thinker". More like "American Drinker" cause you have to be drunk to believe anything you read from there.

    NPC comment noted.

I don't see a good reason why the information wouldn't be made public if this is true and I did see the article about the UK being angry about Trump making docs public.

I heard people say a million times that "more information is a good thing", well, I agree with this case too.

I would like to see all of this stuff made viewable by the public, lets see what is REALLY going on.

There is no deep state. There is only the state. Daddy G knows best. Shut up and do as you're told, prole.

Imagine other allied intelligence agencies cooperating with American agencies.

Why the very hint of it reeks of "deep state" especially to deeply superficial conspiracy theory nuts and actual enemies of the state.

But what a great site to gain insight into what passes as rational balanced opinion amongst the far right. Thanks for reminding me of yet another cesspool of what passes for "independent" thinking in trumpland.

Thanks. We have three. We had four, but one passed a few weeks ago.

We have one sweetie, one jerkface who pretends to be sweet (Eddie Haskell) and one outright ass. They all have their own rules. Are you allowed to have water on your nightstand?

Does raise some questions as to the effectiveness of the "deep state". Seems they are great at keeping the covers on, but lousy on execution of the various conspiracies and plots they so "obviously" are engaged in.

Logic is not the friend of trumpettes.

Way too young (about 9,) from a mass in his stomach that prevented him from eating. By the time we found it, it was too late. He rallied for about a month, but then it would have been cruel to keep trying. The weight loss was quick.

The far right NPC comments are noted. Those people will have to remain frustrated until Mueller's report sends him screaming and running away.

Well as far as I'm concerned the role of the British in this matter is "foreign interference" too and therefore Trump has every right to ask for transparency

Come to think of it... wouldn't it be funny if Skripal was involved in the Steele report (highly likely)... how's that for "Russian" interference by Hillary

Yeah, I mean why not for the sake of "transparency" reveal an closely allied intelligence agency's sources and methods, particularly as it pertains to Russia. Odd behavior for an innocent man, don'cha thunk?

come to think of it... wouldn't it be funny if there actually was massive co-ordination and co-operation between the trump campaign and wikileaks and Russian GBU operatives... and hilliary of course.

Deep State sounds like a good name for a rock band. Catchy name.

Boko Haram good name for a reggae band.

The "Deep State" is actually something that exists, but it has been over hyped by both parties so badly that it doesn't really have meaning anymore.

How D.C. is like 95% Democrat and since Democrats are the party of big government, a lot of the projects and programs they create are headed and lead by Democrats. Finally, people who vote Democrats are FAAAAR more likely to be in a government job in massively higher percentages.

With stuff like the above true, many of the government decisions can and do lean to the Democratic Party quite often. Like the fact that there have been a million investigations against Republicans yet almost none against Democrats. I don't think there is some grand narrative, it is just that human beings have prejudices and those in government positions are no different. I think the problem is however, when the Democratic Party takes advantage of this.

But the InfoWars of the world have turned it into some global "take over the world" conspiracy that has made any conversation about the topic basically a mockery.

Either way, since it is now in the limelight and people are actually concerned about it (new poll shows 48% of Americans believe in the Deep State) I am sure it will begin to change.

Progressives lost the initiative in the culture war during Obama's Presidency and since then things like political correctness have lost the power they used to have.

The GOP is equally a Progressive Party of Big Government pretending to be an opponent of Big Government, other than the Freedom Caucus, whom enough helped the tax bill to pass.

Why was this closely allied intelligence agency interfering with an American election... you are asking the wrong questions, deliberately of course.

They weren't interfering. you are attempting to construe intelligence sharing with interference because the intelligence being shared was about the American election.

Perhaps you are unaware of how the intell biz works. But feel free to engage in whatever intellectual contortions required to ask your kind of "right" questions.

So? The old "fruit of the poisoned tree" defense is as absurd as it is irrelevant in comparison to what lots of people around trump were doing during the campaign, or did all those convictions, guilty pleas and indictments escape your attention. In fact Hillary did the nation a public service by funding dirt collection on a dirty campaign and candidate.

As did Assange when he revealed Hillary's corruption... but look where that got him the polar opposite... the fact is much of the Trump investigation is sour grapes, and none of it is "intelligence business as usual" how can one then argue usual rules apply...
