Do Australian public servants also get paid for time they don't work? American govt workers do, every time there's a shutdown.

16 days off with (delayed) pay under Obama and nobody sued anybody.

Wise up, they throw non stories like this at Trump haters like zookeepers throw bananas to monkeys. And they eat it up. :knifefork:

If the shutdown continues for weeks, who pays their mortgages? They may not have savings to fall back on. Some people live from paycheck to paycheck.

Shut downs end up costing a ridiculous amount of money. This is with the administration already at an over trillion dollar yearly deficit. The US taxpayers will foot the bill for this...like they're footing the bill for the tax cut for billionaires. And now trump the fat moron wants us to pay for a useless, idiot wall that he swore Mexico was going to fund.

Puhleaze...the Democrats need to not budge one red cent on this. If trump cultists want a stupid wall, they can pay for it themselves. They can fund their own racism...

Been through this already. Every single major bank offers deferments and low or no interest loans. We have had umpteen shutdowns now and every single time nothing happens despite of all the gloom and doom predictions people like you throw around.

Its a never ending source of amusement when liberal hypocrites like yourself only care about deficits when a Republican is in charge and conservatives only care when a Democrat is in charge.

Translation: I don't have a clue, but I hate the President, and I react to every dog whistle they blow for me.

No court can force congress to pass legislation.
No court can force the President to approve legislation.
    The lawsuit means nothing.

I love how it was the minority party in the House that is responsible. Funny story, Pelosi isn't at fault on this one. You could blame Schumer and make it about Schumer and Trump though. The issue was that the Border Wall funding couldn't pass the Senate. That is the issue.

I think it would be wiser to let the courts decide that, don't you think? Unless of course you're an expert lawyer in constitutional law.
