Bill Maher's fried-chicken joke to black GOP congressman sparks controversy

I can't believe he said that on TV. C'mon HBO when are you going to fire him from his show. How is it he's still employed? Rosanne made a racial joke about Valarie Jarrett on twitter and almost the very next day she's fired. Bill Maher make a racial joke at a black congressman on national television.......and he's still there. Comparing the two offensive situations, why is Maher seem to be getting a pass and Rosanne was dealt with harshly?

 

The democrats are the racist they claim to hate. Everything they think about is race sex and religion.

They are totally obsessed with identity politics and it comes through when they are in conversation.

Don't expect democrats to hold Bill Maher accountable. They give Obama a pass for hanging out with black Hitler/Luis farrakhan

I can't stand Maher, but what he said is not racist. In this country, sane, rational and logical people don't decide what is and isn't racist, liberals do. With that said, liberals decided a long time ago that associating blacks with chicken, watermelons, bananas, etc is racist and the person who made the association needs to have his life ruined. For reasons unknown to me, Maher has been able to criticize a huge number of people who reside near the top of the pyramid of victimhood and get away with it. Can a liberal explain to me why?

 

My question to ya'all is should Maher keep his job after Rosanne Barr was fired for doing the same thing?

 

If liberals live up to their own standards Maher would be fired and his life would be destroyed. But don't expect any liberals to come here and say that.

Fine him. Reprimand him. Make him apologize. Whatever. But let’s end this nauseating cycle of “someone somewhere might be offended by this so we have to fire this person.”

I don’t give a damn if a guy is left, right, middle, whatever. This may not be in good taste but have we really become so fragile as a nation that this is a worthy cause of being fired?

I think he's a terrible comedian, but I like the fine line he strikes on PC issues.
