Lincoln did his part but it was Yankee soldiers who freed the slaves. If the Yanks had been defeated, no end to slavery for a long while after that. Lincoln would be the guy who had started another useless war.

If the Redcoats had won we would still likely be a fiefdom of England. Washington did his part but without good soldiers George Washington would be a small footnote in history.

 

So then you think we as Americans should never under any circumstances rise up against our government regardless of what it does? We should just sit down shut up and accept our fates?

 

That's why we have something called ELECTIONS.

 

Then you believe if a president won't leave office when his time is up we should just sit there and allow it.
