If you like Thrashing might as well go to the 5 bands that invented it: Slayer, Exodus,Voivod, Destruction and Celtic Frost. Heck, if it weren't for Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King, modern Thrash Metal wouldn't even have been invented! and probably would have died in it's infancy with LemmyKilmeister. ___________________________________________________________________________________ later aided by Coroner, Crumbsuckers, and Whiplash. ___ Celtic Frost - Live at Wacken 2006 ____________ and Your avatar NBC - more like: ___________ Nothing But Crap ___________

Insanely good rethrash album. Features 3 things I hate in metal (long acoustic intros, prominent bass usage, political themes) yet surprisingly manages to be one of the best things I've heard in a while.
HAHA Now Zeppelin has a new documentary coming since Queens and Motley Crues docs made a few bucks ... Lars Ulrich makes tens of millions so he can add more rare vintages to his f__king wine cellar, and a Renoir to his art collection ! Renoir - very counterculure and anti-establishment Metallica and the rest of the wannabes on Blabbermouth ... Sepultura are merely a SLAYER style ripoff artist copycat, or news about Slipknot in their clown costumes, geezers Toni Iommi saying "their might be a new Sabbath record with Ozzy" (13 sucked on roller skates, and Brad Wilk sucks hitting the drums too hard and drowning out everyone with your 'crashing' noise and overly loud noisy style) Tony your entire farewell Sabbath setlist tour was songs from the first 3 albums, those songs are 50 years old, where was the Bloody Sabbath, Vol. 4, Sabotage stuff - tell Mik, Elto and Billy Joel to grab some wood there Bub - they're too old, and tell Ian Anderson standing on one leg at 70 years is just silly you have nothing to prove (except maybe that Jethro Tull without Martin Barre and Doanne Perry is pointless), so have aMetallica beer and shove off to your mansions ... Metal is just a cash transaction now ... no rebellious messages, (or message, period!) no counter-culture, no radicalism, just BLACK ripped t-shirt uniform dress and leather pants , how original. BTW the way exciting times are on the way when Bush and Tool release new discs and go on tour together, drag Kiss along with you in their clown suits too, you can have an orgy.

Since we’re still sorting 2018’s total (something I mentioned last month, too; we’re still not quite there), we’ll let 2017 provide the book-end: 7,797 full-lengths. I’m going to bold that ****: 7,797! That’s 1980-1993’s entire LP output in one year. True, the growth rate has slowed in recent times – 2007 was the final year to enjoy a 10-plus percent increase over the following year – but it hasn’t abated completely. An anomalous 1987 aside, it never has on the full-length front between 1980 to 2017." https://www.stereogum.com/2030460/t...tal-january-2019/franchises/the-black-market/ Even Thrash Metal is Psychological Warfare. CONSIDINE, The Baltimore SunSUN-SENTINEL _________________________________________________________________ (useless deekus breath Kerry King who original drummer Dave Lombardo, screwed him out of major cash) Slayer singer Tom Araya can't help but smirk. Considering the way current events are catching up to those described in the song War Ensemble, from the album Seasons In the Abyss, Slayer suddenly seems uncannily prescient. Does he feel a bit prophetic when he sings those lyrics now? "Oh, just a little," he says with a laugh. It's not a pretty song by any means. An aural blitzkrieg whose chorus climaxes with the lines, "The final swing is not a drill. It's how many people I can kill," it is filled with brutal images and blaring guitars, all propelled at the breathless pace of thrash metal. In fact, the music so accurately sums up the controlled panic of combat that the Army itself has been using Slayer songs to psych its troops for military maneuvers in the Saudi desert. "Yeah, they play them over the loudspeaker," says Araya from a tour stop in Montreal. "The music is pretty intense. It's the proper kind of music to be playing at the time." Does he take it as a compliment, then? "Well ... I dunno," he says. "I think it's kind of cool that we offer them some kind of aggressive inspiration. Especially out there. You need that little edge. Otherwise, you might end up coming home dead." But Araya, though happy to help the troops, doesn't really see the song as an endorsement of war. That might seem odd, given the band's name and its penchant for titles like Expendable Youth, Spill the Blood, Angel of Death and Mandatory Suicide, but as Araya points out, singing about death and destruction doesn't necessarily qualify as an endorsement. The group is booked this weekend at Miami Beach's Cameo Theatre. "If we were for all these things, we wouldn't be here, you know what I mean?" he says. "Actually, I write what I see. I am not for or against anything (in a song). I am, personally, a very opinionated person. But when I write, I don't write as a preacher would, telling people what they should and shouldn't do. I write sort of painting a picture of what I see. "And, hopefully, I've painted the picture vividly enough for people to understand what it is I have to say. That way, they can see the picture, and if they don't like the picture, they can do something about it." Araya understands that the band's unblinking vision, combined with its show-no-mercy sonic assault, has given Slayer one of the most fearsome reputations in rock. "I think the intensity that we create scares people," he says. But for those willing to take the ride -- in particular, the band's core audience of pre-adolescent males -- Slayer's music can provide a much-needed catharsis, a way of working past real-life horrors. "You get past the ugliness because you see the beauty," he says. "And that's the idea. That's what I'm trying to do." https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-1991-02-21-9101090789-story.html _______________________________________________________________________________________ Voi Vod "War and Pain" .... big "radical," anti- war band, right? wants to call out the man on being draconian warmongers ? Looks like the pilot was really Flying High Again ... Not only was Rhodes decapitated, but burned beyond recogntion, and sliced up into tiny pieces as a result of the plane crash, would could have been avoided had the intoxicated pilot wanted to screw around by dive bombing around the tour bus at low alititudes trying to waken a still sleeping on the bus Ozzy Osbourne. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ "May 17, 2006 · Rhoads, age 25, was killed instantly, as were Aycock, 36, and Youngblood, 58. It was found later that Aycock had an expired flying license and had some amount of cocaine in his system." _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ The tragic story of Randy Rhoads death By Rafael Polcaro Tragic death Rhoads played his last show on Thursday, March 18, 1982, at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum. The next day, the band was heading to a festival in Orlando, Florida. Osbourne recalls his final conversation with Rhoads that night on the bus involved the guitarist admonishing him over his heavy drinking. The last thing Rhoads said to him that night was, “You’ll kill yourself, you know? One of these days.” After driving much of the night, they stopped in Leesburg, Florida, to fix a malfunctioning air conditioning unit on the bus while Osbourne remained asleep. On the property there was an airstrip with small helicopters and planes. Without permission, tour bus driver and private pilot Andrew Aycock took a single-engine Beechcraft F35 plane registered to a Mike Partin. On the first flight, Aycock took keyboardist Don Airey and tour manager Jake Duncan. He then landed and a second flight took to the air with Rhoads and makeup artist Rachel Youngblood aboard. Rhoads had tried unsuccessfully to coax bassist Rudy Sarzo to join him on the flight, but Sarzo chose to get some extra sleep instead. During the second flight, attempts were made to ‘buzz’ the tour bus. Aycock succeeded in making two close passes, but botched the third attempt. At approximately 10 am, after being in the air for approximately five minutes, one of the plane’s wings clipped the top of the tour bus, breaking the wing into two parts and sending the plane spiraling out of control. The initial impact with the bus caused Rhoads’ and Youngblood’s heads to crash through the plane’s windshield. The plane then severed the top of a pine tree and crashed into the garage of a nearby mansion, bursting into flames. Keyboardist Don Airey was the only member of the band to witness the crash, because the rest were asleep in the bus. Rhoads (25) was killed instantly, as were Aycock (36) and Youngblood . All three bodies were burned beyond recognition, and Rhoads was identified by dental records and personal jewelry. According to Sharon Osbourne, who was asleep in the bus and awoken by the crash, “They were all in bits, it was just body parts everywhere”. http://rockandrollgarage.com/the-tragic-story-of-randy-rhoads-death/
