California Magazine ban struck down by federal court

This is a riot. Suddenly you need the hand-eye coordination of Ted Williams to reload a firearm.

 

While I concede that's generally what most State laws say, I have no issues whatsoever with them being chased down and killed, if they initiated deadly violence against the chasers. They deserve it.

 

Need is irrelevant.

That's one reason I avoid 30 round mags for the AR, 2 feed failures in a year where enough for me to forget about using them, what I have found to be 100% reliable are the Colt 20 round mags and being shorter they allow for easy shooting while prone and are very reasonable priced.

 

One can buy a 2.5 pound ABC extinguisher for the kitchen, one can buy a 20 pound ABC too and still only need a couple of pounds of chemical to put out a fire on the stove, but I would much rather have the 20 pounder and only need 2 pounds then to have the smaller one and find out I needed 5 as the house is burning.

It is always better to be prepared than it is to want, a concept too many cannot get through their heads.

Its not a concession of anything. His 30rd magazine remains necessary as it was required to accomplish something within his legal rights in that situation.

Could super Dave have done it with a bolt action hand reloading each round in between? Bet your ass he could, right after he threw a touchdown pass clear over them there hills.
Should a regular person be expected to be super Dave or be SOL? Absolutely not. For someone like that in a situation like we've been discussing, a 30rd mag is necessary.
