Puerto Rico's governor goes AWOL as protesters gather outside his residence, US officials call to step down "Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló official residence remains under siege as hundreds of thousands of protesters gathered this week outside the La Fortaleza that serves as the governor’s official residence. Puerto Ricans are calling for Rosselló’s resignation after leaked online chats show him insulting women, political opponents and mocking victims of Hurricane Maria, one of the most devastating natural disasters to hit the island territory." "A new wave of protests hit the island on Friday, with union workers marching towards La Fortaleza from the nearby waterfront. Horseback riders and hundreds of other people also joined the march. Smaller protests are also organized across the island over the weekend, though most of the focus is on Monday when most people are expected to hit the streets. The calls to oust the governor have caught the attention in the mainland U.S., with multiple officials coming out in support of the protesters." https://www.foxnews.com/us/puerto-rico-govenor-protests-us-officials He's a progressive. Ironic. It's amazing seeing how many Democrats are confirming that Trump has always been right when he talks about the Puerto Rica govt being corrupt. He's been right all along. Obama turned a blind eye to their corruption. Trump's DOJ is investigating the corruption. They kinda deserve it since they voted for this governor. These friends and advisors have determined appointments and firings within the government, controlled the government’s public image, and positioned their clients and friends to benefit from the Governor, the investigation claims. “Although he does not have direct contracts with the government, Sánchez, who has the closest connection with the Governor, controls the majority of large contracts, placing his clients in most agencies and charging commissions of up to 25% of the amount of the contracts that have reached $50,000 a month,” the report reads, relying on four witnesses. Remember when Trump was speaking about the corruption in Puerto Rico and of course the drooling mass of dogs attacked him for it.....
Trump in this case was right.. I thought that mayor was bad but this is nuts.. Even you have to admit it.....
I agree. The prick was pushing hard to make Puerto Rico a state. Nothing could be more catastrophic to conservatives than that happening. It would probably take the Presidency permanently away. For that reason, we can never allow statehood to happen.
