    This one doesn't seem to be gaining much attention. Is it the lack of death, or the optics?

    In my opinion, even without the shootings in El Paso and Dayton, we likely wouldn't hear much about this one.

    Fret not progressives, they haven't released a description of the shooter yet. You may get another opportunity to harp on about Trump, the NRA, and white nationalist in a gleeful and conspiratorial manner.

    Even though shootings of this type occur much more frequently than mass shootings and even though shootings of this type accumulate far, far more victims and dead bodies, the left never wants to talk about it. Any ideas why?

    Because if they covered every shooting in Detroit, Baltimore, St Louis, Detroit and New Orleans that's the only thing you would ever see on that channel. Did CNN cover it? It seem the people they portray as nothing more than victims have been victimized yet again. This story, it would seem, is more news worthy to the folks who care about these perpetual victims than a story about a basketball, wouldn't you agree?

    It came from a local network, not a national one. And every story they put on line gets clicks which generate revenue.

    The rules for all news media is if it bleeds it leads. So of course on a day when 29 people were killed in mass shootings did you expect that the Chicago story would or should be put up and before El Paso and Dayton ? Are you upset that violence in Chicago is not the lead story 24/7??? Are you upset because Obama's home town is Chicago and unless the news media is crapping on Chicago are you not happy?

    Seriously though the Trumpocity is not directly responsible for this vile crap but he is aiding and abetting and with his words he gives aid and comfort to the loosely wound and to our enemies as in Putin and Russia.

    I'm not upset, just making a point. As I said in the first post, IMO... even if the Dayton and El Paso shootings hadn't occurred, we likely wouldn't have heard much at all about this mass shooting in Chicago.
