Similar to the police, the International Union of Police Associations just endorsed Trump for 2020. https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/police-union-endorses-trump-for-2020-re-election/
So What? An "Impeachable Offense" does NOT have to be a per se Statutory Crime. ^And, Everybody KNOWS That.
If there was no vote, what changed today? Just a coincidence, huh? If Biden Jr. had no expertise in Ukraine, China, energy or banking, what exactly was he selling? The corruption came when Plugs bragged on camera he had a judge fired who was investigating Burisma (Jr. on that board) and he used a threatened withdrawal of US aid. Pot, meet kettle. Impeachment was intended as a check against the Executive Branch, Pelosi and the Democrats are using it as a check against the electorate, and are trying to imitate the UK system where a vote of no confidence removes a leader from office.
The Clinton impeachment was seen by the public as a political act not worthy of removal from office, despite Clinton getting 11 indictments after his investigation, including perjury and obstruction of justice. Apparently Biden and Nadler changed their opinion since then when they opposed Clinton's impeachment. Clinton's approval rose during that process. David Axelrod was on TV today warning this could help get Trump re-elected.
Again, NO CRIME has be claimed and it must be claimed. I don't think you know what you are babbling about. Article 2, Section 4 The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason (crime), Bribery (crime), or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors (crimes). The Democrats, MSM, and the fools following them are way out of their league.
His speciality was corporate governance and compliance. Which you would know if you spent 30 seconds looking it up. Hardly. There is far more to justify an investigation into Trump than two events that happened to occur a few weeks apart. IF Trump pressured a foreign country to investigate a political rival, it’s abuse of power. That is a classic impeachable offense.
I thought his specialty was cocaine. We call know the main crime was beating Hillary, right? Except the Ukrainian on the other end of the conversation has said he wasn't pressured, which kind of blows your theory. He came to power there on an anti-corruption platform, Trump had every right to discuss that subject with him, including possible Biden Jr. corruption. It would be negligent not to. And the really funny thing is, using a foreign country to investigate a political rival is just what the Deep State did with the phony dossier.
There were two problems with impeachment 1. the votes were never there to even give it a veneer of bipartisan respectability in either the House or Senate. That problem will not change regardless of the findings of the hearings' 2. It polled fairly well among Dems, but poorly among Americans as a whole. Most independents and or 'soft Dems' did not want impeachment hearings based in the Mueller investigation. They would far rather make the call on Trump themselves in 2020 and see no risk to waiting. the damage was already done. Republicans and moderates had every reason to think impeachment would be punished at the polls. Now this new scandal may be a game changer by changing those poll numbers for three reasons. A) It piggy backs on the exact same broad charges that the Mueller investigation uncovered and Republicans originally decried and demanded Russian sanctions for - namely foreign ( Putin) interference in support of Trump in the elections. B) Its simple, direct and easy to follow this bouncing ball. Trump made a call to the Ukrainian's . Trump at least brought up Biden in the call. Trump withheld funding from Ukraine. Trump is stonewalling giving the whistleblower memo. C) The entire premise of Americans deciding this in 2020, presupposes that Trump or Putin or Zelensky does not find ways to 'cheat' or put their hands on the scales of 2020, using similar methods as last time. They may want something or someone out there protecting this election, and the House is all that stands in the way of Trump/Putin interferance. Republicans are stuck on this Trump battleship and there are no life rafts coming. Very few see any out but defending the boat with every last shell. But if polling data changes and the needle moves, that means Dems will not be punished in 2020 for pursuing this regardless of Trump's efforts. Their risks shrink dramatically.
Which exposes it as the partisan witch hunt it is by the LW that never accepted the last election results.
All debunked nonsense. Refer to my thread on this matter. Trump hired a guy in debt to Russian mobsters to run his campaign while Russia was helping his campaign. Seems like a valid avenue to pursue.
An impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history - Gerald Ford
Yes Pelosi doesn't even have a majority in her party for this farce, it is just a sop to the AOC wing of her party.
I think hiring a guy in debt to Russian mobsters, while Russia is helping your campaign, is reason enough.
He was an investigator for a private company, Fusion GPS. He later shared his work with the FBI. It’s not illegal for the FBI to deal with foreigners in the course of an investigation.
It’s nice to see the dems finally grow a set and do their sworn duty. We can now expect trump to go full dotard and whine incessantly like a stuck pig and his supporters will throw the last shreds of their dignity under the bus to try to save their obese orange messiah.
