For earthlings, it's always fun to speculate that their little, primitive planet out in the boonies of the Milky Way is a big attraction for entities sufficiently advanced to frequently make the trek over vast cosmic distances to surreptitiously take peeks at them, but are sufficiently indiscrete to allow a fleeting glimpse rather often, rather than apply their highly-advanced technology to less inept covert observations.) "Unidentified aerial phenomena” - since we don't know if reported sightings concern "objects" (Would you call spectacles such as lightening or marsh gas "objects"?) or whether they are "flying" (Do clouds "fly"?) afford amusement aplenty. Meanwhile, "they" are very discrete in regard to our far more conscientious, comprehensive and constant vigilance: Do hearty expeditions in the intergalactic equivalent of Winnebagos convey responsible holiday picnickers to the inexplicably-alluring third planet in the System of Sol for fleeting fetes (following which they assiduously, invariably, remove every speck of their litter)? Only the fairies, elves, pixies, brownies and leprechauns know for sure.
This is why I spent a couple of years reading declassified military UFO reports. We can generally only have confidence that a craft wasn't some classified technology, if it remains unidentified two or three decades down the road. For example: http://nicap.org/reports/760919routing_slip_ufo_iran.pdf In retrospect, it becomes obvious that the military was mainly worried about Soviet or Chinese technology, and earlier, German technology [Foo Fighters]. Once that is ruled out, the document is declassified. They don't seem to hide information about UFOs.
Back in 1955, Senator Russell was on a highly classified trip to the Soviet Union. As he traveled on a train through the Soviet countryside, he and others observed two saucer-shaped crafts rising up from the forest floor. He was so impressed by what he saw that he reported it to a Senate Intel committee when he returned. He couldn't talk about it publicly because the trip was highly classified. I have seen the original document released twice. Once, a highly redacted version of the report was released. Later, the entire report was released. What was striking was that none of the information about the observed UFOs was redacted in the first report. Only references to the location and people involved were redacted. The UFO itself wasn't treated as highly classified.
Our galaxy has over one billion stars. There are billions of galaxies. I'm pretty sure that we are not alone. There are people who claim to have material that belongs to a UFO. They say they are analyzing it. Is it true, who knows, but I am a firm believer that aliens do exist. Only time will tell. I have an idea that they may be more numerous than we think. Their craft may fly so fast that we can't see them. I'm going to try to video the sky at random times, then play it back in slow motion.
I'm willing to entertain the idea of life out there, but have they been here? I think not, an advance life form may send automated probes, but I have seen no hard evidence of the aliens being here....so hard to prove a negative.
Though classified, the findings of Project Blue Book, and much more, show that they have been here. It's just that your government will not admit it, except for this recent Navy footage.
Its strange because they have been admitting it through declassified documents for 30 years. And one wonders who actually knows what. I got to know former astronaut Ed Mitchell before his death. He said contractors control the information, not the government.
William James famously said, "It takes only one white crow to prove not all crows are black." Similarly, it takes only one officially recognized, inexplicable UFO with advanced flight characteristics, to prove we are not alone. As one UFO enthusiast, I know they've been here a very long time & never showed any tendency to take over for themselves. Indeed, I suspect they are responsible for several crucial positive turning points in human history, in an attempt to help us grow in both knowledge & compassion. They are NOT a threat. We must learn to stop being a threat in response.
I suspect they use technology capable of inter-dimensional as well as interstellar travel. They are millennia ahead of us, both technologically & spiritually. They also represent a huge potential for human advancement as interstellar companions, if we can grow enough to be open to it & accept it. They will not work with us as long as we stay aggressive, militant & threatening. It's not their way. In my view, we're being incredibly stupid choosing to protect our affinity for war & violence over the prospects for becoming an interstellar world in peaceful communion with many others already out there.
There is now hard evidence. Look up the Nazca Mummies on Gaia. Don't fall for the lies spread by the naysayers & skeptics. They're wrong. The mummies are real & have been studied by professional medical teams in Europe & Russia, who concluded they are very real. If William James was right when he said, "It only takes one white crow to prove not all crows are black," then similarly, it takes only one real skeleton of an ET to prove humans are not alone. It takes only one ET grave site on Earth to prove ETs have been here in person. The Nazca Mummies are that white crow.
It is more likely that any "real UFOs" contain time travelers than aliens. Time travel is a simpler explanation: How they found us, why they come here, why many are reported to look like us, how they avoided all of the difficulties of interstellar FTL flight, all go away. And for FTL travel, we are into time travel anyway. This might also explain the apparent trans-dimensional nature of many events. Conversely, we have myths, legends, and claimed histories of visitors from the stars, going back thousands of years, all around the world. It is amazing how many cultures have stories of direct interactions with beings from the stars or the sky. But maybe they were time travelers too. I'm not arguing that either case is true, just weighing the problem in terms of complexity and applying Occam's Razor.
Youtube websites called "Secureteam 10" & "Suspect Sky" both show many videos & photos of UFOs taken by everyday people like you & me. Even if only a small--even minute--portion of them are real, you will still see ample evidence of their presence to move you beyond hard skepticism. I was a total skeptic for several decades, but in the most recent 5 years, have seen undeniable UFOs on several occasions, so I'm convinced I was wrong before. Now I try to encourage skeptics to look at the growing evidence with an open mind, & decide for themselves. The evidence is out there & it's pretty convincing.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/alien-mummy-peru/ An alleged scientific team and reported finding are meaningless without publication in a respected scientific journal, and duplication of those results by other independent teams of scientists.
Lets just say the mummies DNA was test and they aren't the same as our, does the mean they are ET? Would they not have to test against an ET.....you know, the principle of scientific method. Proving it's not something does not prove it is something else.
As I asked, what would you consider to be hard evidence? If it could be shown that they are humanoids with DNA so radically different from ours, or with a reverse helix or a different structure, it might be argued that it could not have originated on earth, But it could be difficult to prove it to be extraterrestrial, depending on what they find. Certain isotopic ratios might also be definitive.
Yes, & I know how scientific "dogma" can blind journal editors to anything new that appears too extreme to be acceptable under current knowledge. But discovering the proof of ETs real existence & proof ET has been on Earth, is still too far beyond current accepted science to be acceptable to most journals. How do we get beyond that self-imposed blindness?
