Most likely cartel or gang related.

Authorities say they are now looking for two male suspects. In a statement, the department said that "a preliminary investigation suggests that an earlier dispute occurred inside the bar" which led to the shooting incident.

The four killed were all Hispanic men, ranging in age from mid-20s to late 50s, according to a CNN report.

Police said that although the investigation is still in its early stages, they do not believe the shooting was racially motivated, according to The Washington Post.

It is already illegal for an individual to possess a firearm while in an intoxicated state. Is such a prohibition simply not good enough?

The obvious question of "so what?" must be asked with regard to the above. What ultimate, meaningful difference, does such actually make?

The murder rate of the nation of Venezuela is approximately 81.4, despite possessing significant firearm-related restrictions.

The great majority of conceal carry are law abiding citizens and understand that consuming alcohol while in the possession of a firearm is illegal, hence the chance of there being a legal conceal carry at a bar are rare to none.

But hey, if we only made murder illegal, that surely would have stopped this....

What Is stupid about it? I'm open minded and willing to embrace a different philosophy if it has actual logic.
The problem is you guys think that strict gun laws will prevent shootings. You think that gun laws will make all guns magically dissappear into another dimension. If a mass shooter wants a gun, they are gonna get one.
I would prefer your dream world of all guns disappearing along with peace, harmony and unicorns but that ain't real life.
If someone in that bar was armed they could have dropped that fool and had less casualties.
    That's math!
    That's logic!
    That's real life.
Believe me when I say that I prefer your dreamworld much better than the real life version.

All one needs to do is make penalties for non gun related crimes lesser and then have crimes with guns hold massive penalties under law.

Drugs legal, all other crimes other than rape, kidnapping or murder 5 years max crime plus gun 25 years. Criminals will not use guns.

Booze was banned at one time and it didn't stop anyone from drinking. Murder has been banned since forever and it hasn't stopped anyone from killing. Laws exist for the purpose of prosecution ------ not prevention.

What everyone ''knows'' about Prohibition is that it was a failure. It did not eliminate drinking; it did create a black market. That in turn spawned criminal syndicates and random violence. Corruption and widespread disrespect for law were incubated and, most tellingly, Prohibition was repealed only 14 years after it was enshrined in the Constitution.

Why don't you go live overseas? Seriously, if things are so much better over there, why are you still here?

BS. These perpetrators never think they'll be caught so penalties be damned. You're not thinking logically.

Hard times make good men. Good men (WWII Greatest Generation) then make soft times. Soft times make weak men. Weak men then make hard times. Weak democrats want to take the USA back to hard times.

The united states is neither of those things, as is evidenced by the administration of Donald Trump. Therefore the united states has more in common with the nations of Mexico and Venezuela, than it does the nations of Australia or New Zealand.

And thus the discussion ends, and the incident in question no longer qualifies as being a mass shooting.

Since when are the U.S. Virgin Islands, Greenland, Belize, Jamaica, South Africa, Thailand, Bahamas, Trinadad and Tabago, Columbia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Phillipines, Russian Federation, Peru, Paraguay, Argentina, Pakistan, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Afghanistan, Uruguay, Bermuda, Camaroon, Barbados, Lithuania, Turks and Caicos and Estonia considered 3rd World Nations? All those countries listed that have a higher murder rate than America, some as much as 20 times, also are represented in The Miss Universe Pageant or have nukes just like the U.S.

You generally can't be drinking and have a gun on you.

I think there are only 4 states where you can legally take a gun into a bar, so your point is not really a point, is it?

Switzerland has 3rd highest guns per capita in the world and similar gun laws as the US, yet, have vastly different crime numbers.

And over the last 30 years, violent crime has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY in this country so to paint a brush our society is getting worse, criminally, would be 100% inaccurate.
