LOL. Define 'ruined childhood'. Maybe they should not be giant consumers of electronic gadgets. Back when kids did things like climb trees in the woods, you know, they actually used to play outdoors, not sit in front of a screen, most of their waking hours.

 

I don't see where people are suffering and dying. The main driver of ecosystem collapse is due to the expansion of human civilization in general not climate change. I agree climate change should be addressed, but she is exaggerating the problem a bit.

One thing she did say is that western nations need to lead by example. If we with all our stuff aren't willing to cut back, then how are we going to expect poor developing nations to cut back? And France isn't one of the lowest Carbon nations, its actually around average. The average is about 5 tones per capita, France is about 4.6 tones.

 

This kid has a lot more trouble than being on the spectrum. Her parents have destroyed her youth. Both of them appear to be on the looney spectrum.

Teenagers have opinions about politics all the time, and these opinions do imply that adults will have to do something different. If you get so riled up by a teenager expressing her opinion about the world, you got some major insecurities.

Well, unless you live in her home and actually figured out that her opinions were fed to her, instead of her coming up with them herself, then you have no basis for making that accusation.

Climate change is real and it is a threat.

 

So you make a difference without much of a distinction when you point to the expansion of human civilization in general as the main driver of ecosystem collapse. Climate change is just so intertwined with the expansion of human civilization...one just acts on a longer and broader scale than the other.

Gotta admit. She is not eye candy. But that does not in any way negate her point.

 

How? By having algorites brain washing children?

 

I tend to think it is the massive amounts of anxiety and stress created by the knowledge that the world is dramatically being altered by climate change and that the window for making any sort of meaningful reduction in the likely harm is narrowing rapidly.

Oh, and the currently increased instances of drought, flooding, wildfire, disease, and ecosystem collapse probably has something to do with ruining their childhood.

 

Again, where the proof? Of all the doom and gloom dire predictions you guys have made , none of them have come true - NONE.
There's been no increase - only an increase in blaming events of nature on GW. Her childhood hasn't been affected by GW not one iota.
