That means Trump had any say in it?

He asked that the Ukrainians announce an investigation into Joe Biden and the shutdown of that wonderful prosecutor, he asked that the Ukrainian president look into Hunter Biden, and he asked that Ukraine look into that crowd strike server.

All of those investigations or announced investigations provide campaign assistance because they are either politically damaging to the most likely democratic nominee (the investigations into Joe and/or Hunter Biden) or they are politically beneficial to his own campaign (by "debunking" the Russia interference investigation).

Speculation? No. There is cold hard fact to back that one up.

Trump has never had a Republican approval rating below 78%. The elected Republicans who dare to criticize trump with any degree of consistency have either resigned, been primaried out, or left the party voluntarily. In fact, 40% of House Republicans in 2016 are now gone from their job. And the percentage of individuals who self-identify as Republicans have gone down in that same time frame.

I just can't understand how or why Republicans cling to this buffoon who is so obviously toxic to their brand considering that he is neither conservative or a Republican.

So what. People have free will. Winners like Trump. Losers like you.

Abuse of power, in the form of "malfeasance in office" or "official misconduct," is the commission of an unlawful act, done in an official capacity, which affects the performance of official duties. Malfeasance in office is often grounds for a for cause removal of an elected official by statute or recall election. Abuse of power can also mean a person using the power they have for their own personal gain.

Can you believe that Ambassador Yovanivitch was told to tweet support for Trump? I mean, can you believe this nosense? This is how petty and juvenile the 45th president is, and how twisted his "loyal" administration is as a result of his personality combined with the power he wields. He constantly places his personal interests above those of the country. He is too damned narcissistic and sociopathic to do otherwise. And to top it all off, he is under the influence of Vladimir Putin. I am convinced that Trump feels more aligned with Putin than he does his fellow Americans who are not singing or tweeting his praises, and I am also convinced that Putin has manipulated him in their private meetings.

I agree with your sentiment. But.....have to demure on your 'Ambassador Yovanivitch was told to tweet support for Trump.' She was advised to so by Sondiland (sp) as he was obviously aware she was in Trump's sights. Says a lot doesn't it. "If you want your job as a US Ambassador, lick the boots and envelopes of POTUS." Appalling system. Career diplomats in Australia are immune from that crap. Sure, they get moved around 9disgracefully) to favour/cater for political appointments (eg Downer to the UK and Hockey and now Sinodinos to the US) but they stay in the Corp.

In my view there was ample evidence that members of Trump’s campaign were interacting with Russian Mobsters and Spies. Mueller’s report details dozens of examples. However he decided not to charge because there was not proof that Trump and his minions had intent to commit a crime. So in other words, at best they were unwitting dupes at worst, they did conspire but the OSC could not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. What Schiff May have been referring to in that statement was the 10 incidents of obstruction which there definitely was much more than circumstantial evidence. Hundreds of former and working Federal Prosecutors signed a letter in which they agreed that there was ample evidence of obstruction by Trump. Now Trump is continuing to obstruct justice by not cooperating with the congressional investigation and ordering others to do the same. This is a lot like Dick Nixon...

He had say in what the Russians did.
It doesnt matter what he thought he might benefit from.
He had no say in their actions.

Trump had every right to replace Yovanovitch with another ambassador. Nobody is disputing that. He could have just had Pompeo tell her that with the new president being elected, they decided to make a change and relieved her with a little bit of class and shown her some common courtesy and respect. But noooooooooo....

Instead, the way he did it was scummy and put her in danger. Sending Guiliani and those two Sputnik Mob Goons over there to bad mouth her to the Ukrainians and then having Fox News scumbag lawyer Joe diGenova go on the Hannity show and trash her was a low class move to pull on a 28 year veteran of the foreign service.

Trump is a low life backstabbing scumbag and those henchmen Rudy, Igor and Lev along with his appointed 3 Stooges, Perry, Sondland and Volker acted like a bunch of low life cut throat Mobsters. This is a shameful incident in US State Department history. These imbeciles acted like a bunch of monkeys trying to f*ck a football. We need to get rid of this petty little prick Trump as he obviously has no idea what he is doing and has no respect for our laws and institutions. He and his entire administration are disgusting and repugnant.

Power............. A buffoon who'll appoint Conservative Judges bets a Rhoades Scholar who'll appoint justices with a different views on governments role

Also it highlights a problem of our system's lack of alternatives. I think it'd be cool if each party had 2 nominees for president like just imagine that in 2016 Trump and Jeb and Hilary and Bernie

He's quite the control freak too. Secret testimony in a basement vault, trying to influence public opinion with coordinated leaks and now dribbling out "approved" transcripts here and there?

KEN STARR: Secret Nature of Schiff’s Impeachment Proceedings Is Unprecedented, It’s Quite Wrong and It’s Unfair to American People

Sunshine, live public testimony and instant transcripts, that's the kind of open transparency that proceedings this grave deserve. Shame on the Democrats for using this immense power they are temporarily entrusted with to these narrow bitterly partisan ends as an electoral strategy.
