People barred from owning a gun

    1. Prohibit all persons diagnosed with a illness or disorder that affects mental capacity in any way.

    2. Prohibit all persons admitted into a mental facility, voluntarily, or by a medical professional, law enforcement or judge.

    3. Prohibit all persons incapable of 20/20 vision with or without glasses, contacts, or other treatment.

    4. Prohibit any person who has been committed misdemeanor or felony assault, or battery.

    5. Prohibit all persons who have made verbal or written threats of violence at any point in their life towards another person.

    6. Prohibit all persons on the Terror watch list, no fly list, or sex offender list.

    7. Prohibit any person who has been deemed unfit to carry by multiple medical or law enforcement persons.

When a gun can be used

A person must be in absolute danger of life, have no ability to retreat or defend themselves by non lethal means, and the person must be armed with a weapon and be in active pursuit of the defender.

A gun an not be used on a person fleeing or who is not facing the person using the gun. Nor can a gun be used while inside a vehicle unless shots have already been fired by the attacker.

    No.

You as an individual don't have the authority to limit anyone else's right to keep and bear arms, therefore you can't delegate that power to your government representatives. Even if a bunch of your friends and neighbors agree with you, you can't delegate authority you don't have.

When a person infringes on the rights of another individual, then the individual has a right to defend themselves against such further encroachments by limiting the offending person's rights. The injured party, having the right of self defense, can delegate that to his government representatives.

I would argue that the only real effective way of doing that is to kill, incarcerate or expel the offending party.

This should be moved to the proper forum section but good luck with your repeated trolling.

So only those that are capable of defending themselves without a gun can use a gun?

By all means go to a mental hospital and arm all the people inside and then agree to stay and watch them until you deem it time to take the guns away. I am guessing you would not do that.

There's no sense at all in these restrictions - as per the norm.
    Keep up the good work.

So mentally ill people should not be allowed guns? Does this include people suffering from "transphobia" or "islamophobia"?

Your list covers virtually every human being, I've been to the range with people on your list everytime I've gone there.

Nothing here changes the fact there is no sense, much less common sense, to be found in your OP.

People who propose common sense gun control should be required to possess common sense as a prerequisite.

Why don't you call it what it is....RACIST as it gets.

Words used by Blacks during Re-Construction were the basis for taking their guns away and leaving them to be brutalized by Democrats for decades.

Sorry but you lost me. I'm not sure any of it is racist. Mental illness and all of the other circumstances come in ALL colors.

As far as my talking point, it was just based on number 5 - threats

Example: someone bothers someone's girlfriend and the guy says "bother my girl again and you're gonna be in a world of hurt". And I don't think somehing like that should disqualify a person for gun ownership. As far as race goes, I'm not seeing th connection. Care to clarify?

Suggest you read over what you wrote and think again. Got some big holes in your theories.

states are allowed to make actions or conditions reasons to prohibit firearms and they can decide when they can be used.

So long as they do not infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

they courts have never struck down categorical restrictions, only bans on weapons. So it is constitutional
