Adam Schiff has some pretty significant mental issues. He lives in his own little Walter Mitty world where he's actually relevant, a real Thurber man. Remember his fantasized version of the Trump call to the Ukrainian president? That actually happened in Schiffland and he still believed it when he delivered it to the house. Of course when called on it he emerged from his stupor to say it was just a joke or something like that. Adam Schiff is the most despicable politician in Washington he's made a complete mockery of the whole impeachment process such that in years to come impeachment may not be the viable remedy it was intended to be. The Democrats corrupt everything they touch.

 

You must not have watched today. He explained that by adding the context and predicted the defense would try to bring it up just like you just did.
It was interesting to see him shoot down the defense before it was presented.

Any member of congress can be removed from office by a 2/3 vote of the members- without any further process.
The Congress is the only authority that can do this- they were entrusted by the founders with power to maintain the integrity of the institution they are part of.
There are currently 535 of them. In the last 156 years,(since the end of the civil war) Congress has found it appropriate to remove one of their own- Twice.
