I mean you are spinning to try and justify the entitlement cuts while ignoring that they are - objectively - a reduction in spending.

    Pro-tip: That's a cut.

But maybe you could ask the Supreme Court of Ethiopia.

I could link you to videos of trump recently and repeatedly slurring his words, if you'd like to view some evidence?

I'm not opposed to capitalsim AT ALL.

It's just that capitalism DOES have limits concerning what it can do.

Capitalism is never going to address the healthcare needs of those below the poverty line in a way that is acceptable. And, the reason is clear - there isn't any profit in it.

If you want government involvement for those below the poverty line, I’m probably with you. But when we stretch Medicare, Medicaid, and single payer into the middle class and upper middle class, you’ve lost me.

Capitalism funds a welfare system. The best examples of this are the US and Sweden.

When I retire at age 62, my estimated SS payment will be about $1,800 per month (a reduced benefit for retiring early). If my retirement was privatized since 1984 when I started working, I’d be getting $4K or $5K per month.

All ObamaCare did was expand Medicaid. And with more and more people working there is less need for Medicaid.

It's HIS budget, dear. Never trust you as a source is better advice. Trump hate seems to blind folks to the truth. :(

A guy can change his mind, ya know. A lot can change in that particular mind in less time than you just described. I have seen it change in minutes in a news conference

The same people slam him for the deficit and then slam him for proposing budget cuts.

I think we need to look at this differently. First, I’ve not seen the budget but, a budget is authorized spending and the government will spend all of it each year. If we budgeted for a certain amount of aid in the form of food stamps, and economic conditions improve resulting in millions of people coming off food stamps, is the money returned to the people? Of course not, it’s spent anyway. Much of what Trump has requested a reduction in the budget are based on the resulting improved negotiations resulting in a lower cost to the people, eliminating more waste and fraud, and returning unused taxpayer funds back to the tax payers. To do that he has to reduce the budget otherwise the government will spend the savings.

No overhead - only special bonds that can be redeemed and paid for by American workers and taxpayers. It's a Ponzi scheme financed by US taxpayers.

Maybe instead of budget cuts, he should roll back his unpaid-for tax cuts?

BTW: Weren't we told that the tax cuts would pay for themselves? If so, why do we need spending cuts now? Inquiring minds would like to now.

You want to tax the middle class as they do in Scandinavia ??? In Denmark those making $60K are taxed at 60%. The top 10% pay 27% of taxes. In the US the top 10% pay 45%.

Long ago I read that it costs $5 for the government to get $1 to someone who really needs it. That's political payola and laws deliberately legislated for maximum inefficiency.
