Nope. Not seeing how this deficit will be curbed with the current plans. He needs these plans to cut all kind of expenses in a massive way to make it happen.

Whats the difference between not paying for it and paying for it with money you'll never have?

Trump does not care about the deficit in the short term.

No politician cares about the deficit in the short or long term. Spending like this in a strong economy is inexcusable. I wish the voters would fix it but they won't.

He is rich so why lie so blatantly? Of course you may be just confused about his assets. And have no clue about what it takes to be rich

It is rare for the rich to go bankrupt and then get it back.

Not giving the man due credit is in the mental illness category .

If his haters really hated lies told by trump they would not also be liars would they? Without a ton of hypocrisy.

To keep a steady keel I may start ignoring the overt liars but one wonders if that would leave any left of center people that I could read. I would hate to only be able to read the repubs.

Although there are a couple reasonable left of center people here who try to be honest and exhibit integrity but they may not be Americans. ..not sure.

The Dems wanting to important millions from Mexico and Central America and provide them with free stuff is far worse than the military industrial complex with respect to the debt.

Dead on and obvious to those able to pay attention and observe.

Same goes for the refusal to stop illegal immigration as well as using legal immigration to keep Americans from prospering with some security that was once common when the DP was the party of working people.

Reality is found by observing the action and inaction of the career ruling class. What they do or dont do dictates reality and not their lying lips

It is ironic that trump who is said to be the greatest liar of them all broke tradition by making some campaign promises he actually tried to keep with both parties being hostile and working to undermine him

Paul Ryan (Ryan Roadmap) cared about it and (along with John Taylor) showed how to bring the National Debt down to ~ 10% of gdp in ~ 40 years without tanking the economy.

To reduce the National Debt we need bipartisan action. That never happens. And that is the triumph of politics.

Your party wants to jack up the budget on free College, free healthcare, and import millions of unskilled and uneducated people. Yet you claim to be concerned about the budget? When you complain about the deficit I think you doth protest too much, to paraphrase Shakespeare.

Trump has kept all his campaign promises except debt reduction. But that requires bipartisanship which the Democrats will never agree to.

That’s true. You get what you vote for. On the other hand most voters vote for candidates who promise to act for the good of the people in the country.

The the voters need to understand what is best for the country and vote out people who don't act that way. Both political parties agree that federal debt is a problem. It is THE problem and only the voters can see to it. The problem is that people, like government, are greedy and want rich people to provide for them. That is not what is best for America.

Yes, once the majority of voters realize that they can vote themselves money democracy is dead.

Both are bad. People need to understand that policies that are good for the society are good for everyone. Playing Robin Hood is bad.

Do you think that the 47% who pay no federal income taxes and the middle quintile who do pay taxes will vote for Bernie’s Scandinavian socialism in which all of the above will pay federal income tax at a high rate ??? In Denmark people who make $60K pay at a 60% rate. In Sweden the top 10% pay 27% of income tax. In the US the top 20% pay 45%.

Well, paying higher taxes is a bummer, but if you're giving up taxes, for say free college, then you don't also have to fund a college account for your kids. Same thing, paying taxes for public health care means you're not paying for a medical savings account for yourself/family.

It's the public pot of money.

The costs of the wall are offset by the greater costs of illegals.

In Sweden college students graduate with the same student debt burden as in the US. The reason is that only tuition is free and all other expenses are born by the students. And in Sweden the government decides who can go to college - not education consumers. What are the wait times for treatment in Scandinavia. BTW, Scandanavians living in the US do better than those living in Scandinavia.

By far. And illegal immigration has deprived black Americans of ~ 1 million jobs. That's a huge social cost.
