I hope so, but it's WAY too early to know that. The death toll could easily eclipse swine flu.

 

Because its important to be up to date on the facts so that when people unreasonably claim racist this, or racist that, you can point out the truth of the statistics to prove them wrong.

For instance, its important to know the stats around race and crime, so that when BLM makes a false claim about police, you can counter that false narrative with the truth.

Cut yourself some slack. Going by the CDC’s 6% COVID-Only death toll, your case number in terms of deaths is fairly accurate.

However, at 700 deaths per 1M pop, it’s very hard to persuade the above average intelligent people that said high number of deaths per 1M pop equates to a job well done.

 

Considering the original death toll projection of 2.2 million, I’d call our current death toll pretty damned good by comparison.

Well, Sweden basically did nothing, and their number of deaths per 1M pop; 586.........U.S. 700

Thus, our DID SOMETHING death toll per 1M pop is significantly higher than Sweden’s herd strategy.

Pure speculation here, but my guess is that if Hillary had won the election, Operation Covid would still have played. The way it was handled would have changed, but it still would have played.
