CFC's cannot destroy the ozone layer. We couldn't destroy the ozone layer even if we wanted to. As long as there is sunlight and oxygen, there WILL be an ozone layer.

I bet you were panicking about the "super huge" ozone hole in the Arctic earlier this year. Guess what, that hole is now gone. Guess why? The sunlight came back again. The "ozone hole" at the poles is a naturally occurring phenomenon, and it naturally goes away when Spring comes around. Notice that no one is talking about the south pole right now? That's because it is Summer/Fall there. That talk will start up again in a few months when Winter returns there and sunlight goes away. Rinse, wash, repeat.

 

How does climate "change" exactly? Is there more climate now than there was thirty years ago?

Climate is a subjective term for prevailing weather conditions at a particular location at a particular point in time. ("dry climate", "arid climate", "tropical climate", etc.) Climate is not a quantifiable term. There is no such thing as "a lot of climate" or "very little climate". There is just 'climate'. It doesn't change. What gets called a "desert climate" will always be called a "desert climate", even if the prevailing weather conditions at a particular location changes.

The Church of the Ozone Hole is a fraud. Here's why:

The ozone layer is what protects us from very harmful UV-C sunlight. Ozone (O3) will absorb that light, and in the process, that ozone gets destroyed and becomes oxygen (O2). UV-B sunlight mostly gets absorbed by oxygen, and in the process, that oxygen gets destroyed and becomes ozone. Some of that light does reach the surface, however, and we can get sunburned from it. UV-A can also be absorbed by oxygen, but most of it reaches the surface. It will typically tan one's skin, if not slightly burn it.

Thus, so long as there is sunlight and oxygen in the atmosphere, there WILL DEFINITELY be ozone in the upper atmosphere. Take away one or the other, and there will no longer be ozone. That is why you see "ozone holes" at the poles during their respective winters. Weather patterns can affect the size of such holes (it made the recent "ozone hole" in the Arctic rather large this year), but once sunlight returns, the hole goes away again, as you've now seen (that particular hole is no longer there). That is because winter is over at the north pole, and it is now spring, and sunlight has returned there.

In the upcoming months, once the south pole enters into winter and there's no sunlight there, people will start freaking out about the "ozone hole" at the south pole again. But, once sunlight returns down there, that hole will disappear again, all the same.

Rinse, wash, repeat.


So, you can either keep falling for their lies, or else you can educate yourself on the topic. That decision is for you to make.
