I really have got to stop clicking any video that says XXXX unhinged or XXXX destroyed by. Pelosi is answering a question where the interviewer says that McConnell is blaming impeachment for slowing down Government's response to coronavirus. How do you expect her to respond? Yes, she is ascerbic. Who wouldn't be? But compared to Trump any day of the week, she is very measured in her response. I don't get it, you guys always cheer on Trump for saying it like it is, and loving him insulting journalists, but a politician who is just saying that anyone who can't chew gum and walk at the same time is not doing their job properly is all of a sudden an unhinged freak?
And the argument is completely ridiculous. The final senate vote was february 5th. Trump then orgnaized 6 rallies. One as late as March 2nd. I thik Trump didn't keep his eye on the ball all by himself on this. Trying to blame imeachment is ridiculous.
Now, of course Pelosi, de Blasio, and Cuomo did promote group activities until about the same time as Trump. They will have to answer to that. It took Trump another 15 days to declare this a pandemic.
But this is not an unhinged moment. Far from it

 

She can't understand because she doesn't come from this part of America.

I don't know how it is that you guys fall for the just a regular guy routine so easily. I still remember Bush Sr of all people trying to call out >clinton for his "fancy Oxford education" during one of the debates.
And yet you guys fall for it every time. And when a self made man or woman gets to the top in the democratic party you will call them out for their fancy education. I'll take Barack, Clinton, Warren came from very little you guys back Romney, Bush, Bush, Trump.

So really trying to argue that Pelosi is out of touch with your guys voting records is a bit too rich for my blood.

She urged people to congregate in Chinatown during a pandemic. Think.

She was encouraging people not to avoid Chinatown just because many people there are of Chinese descent.

But you are right. Pelosi wrongly assumed Trump was telling the truth when he said everything was under control. She was naive to believe our current president.

 

How ever you want to spin it to make yourself feel better. She claimed that Trump should have known that the virus was that dangerous at the very same time she was encouraging people to go to Chinatown. She didn't know squat and yet she expected Trump to know what she didn't after she claimed that she actually knew.

Pelosi is a liar and unfit for office. Democrats need to be held accountable for keeping her in her role when she is clearly unfit to exercise this much authority. She claims she knew about the crisis while she had the entire Federal Gov. tied up on her self-indulgent impeachment frolic and on 2/24/20 when she urged huge crowds into Chinatown.

She needs to shut up, spit out her ice cream, close her $24k refrigerators and legislate the resources needed for us to deal with the crisis she helped create.

Apparently, protesting is a right reserved only for certain people of the leftwing persuasion. Pelosi thinks it's "really unfortunate" that some Americans are pushing back against draconian decrees by governors and mayors by protesting the loss of some freedoms.

Pelosi told "Fox News Sunday" that she couldn't understand why Americans are protesting strict measures to keep people at home, saying that one of the answers to the pandemic is to "shelter in place."​

"That is really the answer," Pelosi said. "Testing. Tracing. Treatment. Shelter in place... But, you know, people will do what they do."​

"The fact is, we're all impatient. We all want out. But what they're doing is really unfortunate," she said.​

Most of the protests across the country have been "drive-in" protests with people sitting in their cars honking their horns. It's not the lack of social distancing that has Pelosi and governors upset. It's the challenge to their authority that's eating at them.

"There are some in some places, largely where there’s a Democrat governor."​

Texas Governor Gregg Abbot is a Republican and 1000 people just showed up in Austin to protest his policies. South Carolina Governor McMaster is a Republican and there were protests there too.

People are not protesting against Democrats as much as they're demonstrating against the growing arbitrary power of government. Unwise Politicians are flexing their muscles to bend citizens to their will and the citizens are quite properly pushing back.

Several states are using drones to catch people failing to adhere to social distancing guidelines. I'm sure local and state politicians will think of many uses for those drones once the crisis is past.

Right now, it's the right protesting, largely to get government out of the way and let people get back to work. But once this crisis has passed, it's likely that both left and right will find reasons to protest this aggrandizing power grab by government.

Ben Franklin told us that we had a republic, "if you can keep it."

We damn well are going to keep it!

Trump, the son of a millionaire, educated in a private academy, off to an Ivy League school, living on Columbus circle in manhattan, pooping on a gold toilet, spending the 80s at studio 54, getting his kids into ivy league schools, worth a million at birth is some sort of outsider.
