Ayn Rand died with the crash of the economy in 2008. The free market failed. In particular, market discipline failed. The assumption that companies will act in their own best interest, failed.

The republicans haven't come to grips with this yet. They still live in the fantasy world of Ayn Rand and Reaganomics [which I strongly supported]. The Republicans no longer have an economic platform. That is why we have trump. They abandoned conservatism. But they still think they are conservatives. LOL! Mark Cuban wants to be President. A lot of billionaires, once they saw Trump had done it, thought that they could do it to. Faceberg explored the idea and did a "listening tour" before I think concluding that he doesn't have the personality for it. Cuban on the other hand, does have the personality for it. He's been appearing on news talking heads TV shows for several years to pontificate and get his face and name out there to the politically aware crowds.

Changing your entire political outlook in your sixties could mean:

1) He never really know what he believed and is changing his beliefs based on the current national fear and hysteria.

2) It's a calculated move to appeal to Democratic voters. He may figure that Biden will have to be replaced at the convention and wants to make himself acceptable to that kind of crowd once the nomination is up in the air again.

 

How can he be an elitist scum if he is losing boatloads of money with the NBA season suspended? I would have thought that title would be leveled at an individual whose business was not impacted by the shutdown.
