Joe Biden reverses view about releasing Senate records

if his taxes get public and he lied on them, people will know and report it to the IRS to investigate, that I believe is why he won't releases them, just a guess

the IRS needs proof of a crime, and they can't always get that from numbers alone, sometimes they need someone to point them in the right direction to search

the only other reason I can think of is that he was not charitable or poorer than he lets on

I honestly don't think he is releasing for two reasons.

1 - He hates congress and he is not giving it to them, because he hates them.
2 - I am sure he has a ringer accountant who took advantage of every loophole possible.

Lets be honest - if there was a mistake, Trump would blame the accountant.

Presidential candidates releasing their tax returns are for financial transparency and to identify possible areas of compromise, the release is not for formal auditing.

That said, as of now, there isn't enough against Biden for anything to change.

 

Not surprised. Obviously there is way to much criminal liablity if he releases them....not just for the sexual assaults, but his dealings with China and Ukraine will likely be exposed.

Another reason is there is nothing good to come of it. The media and democrats have already provided enough evidence that no matter what the facts are, they will spin them negative regardless of truthfulness. Why would he provide his enemies with ammo?

 

Audit? Hardly, I'm sure they are being scoured and purged for any an all sexual allegations.

His Senate and VP records have got nothing to do with the allegation. The records are of his deliberations with the President, Foreign leaders, and fellow Senators. It’s an odd request.

If the request continues to be made after it’s common knowledge where the record(s) she seeks are stored then we’ve got a major credibility issue on our hands. Anyone seeking those records now is on a political fishing expedition.

 

We just want to get at the truth. If he's done nothing wrong then why not turn them over?

 

I agree, neither will release them as it looks bad if they don't... and worse if they do
