New York is one of the wealthiest and highest taxes states in the country. so you would think they just might have enough money to make ends meet. Instead, they squandered the money away on social programs, drug injecting sites, illegals and who know what else, and when the chinavirus hit them they had to ask for federal help. Asking for federal help means taking money from the other 49 states.

If that wasn't bad enough, NY is insulting the volunteers who put their lives on the line to help NY by taxing them on the money they were paid in their home states.

Lol, taxes go to us now. Sweet. And before anyone asks, yes I think this is stupid. That being said if states are going to be forced to compete with each other for supplies, this better be worth the cost because states won't be able to free ride forever.

What cracks me up is, because this man 'talks a good game', NY Democrats think he's great for the next POTUS.

But this man is more dangerous to this country than Trump, Bush or Obama will ever be. This man is pure corruption.

He's not just taxing them on the wages they earn in NY, many of their home state employers are continuing pay them, while they volunteer them to NY, NY taxes them on ALL the money they make while in NY, even those earnings from their home state. Cuomo explained that with their fiscal deficit, they simply couldn't afford to "subsidize these people" by foregoing these taxes. Hopefully these folks know to get out of the State before the end of the 14th day, because on the 15th day a yuge tax liability for the entire period is assessed.

Chris was always billed as the dumbest of all the Cuomo's but, Andrew is giving him a run for his money.

PARTY OF SCIENCE: Cuomo says it’s ‘shocking’ most new coronavirus hospitalizations are people who had been staying home. It’s almost as if most people are staying home, and people who are staying home are most people, and hospitalizations come from people.

He's both corrupt and incompetent. The issue with that is: SO are the other leading Dems. They're in the Biden mess, because this party refuses, absolutely categorically refuses to push for reform. They want to remain Social Justice Warriors, divide the country on racial and ethical lines, call Trump a Hitler-racist, say there's "white supremacists" behind every tree, etc.

Consent of the governed is now a FOREIGN concept to the Democratic philosophy as a whole, and as a result it's unlikely there will be fresh young Democrats in the future.

Even New Yorkers hate New York. They are moving south and messing everything up down here.

Governor Meatball and his dumber brother , Fredo, are on their way to prison in the near future, if there is any justice

Meatball guilty of manslaughter for negligence in ordering virus infected people into Nursing homes thus exposing the Elder gen and they died from such

Fredo Meathead Dumber will likely try to assault someone in fit of rage from
the steroid diet, and get shot dead from some old guy fearing for his life

Gov Meathead was sending infected persons INTO nursing homes in proximity to elder persons who were NOT infected= gross negligence at best and outright malevolence at worst

Gov DeSantis of Florida, In stark contrast, recognized immediately that the elder gen was most vulnerable and took the right and correct action to protect the nursing homes, hence no catastrophe.

Volunteers are not paid, thus no taxes
Employees sent from other states that get paid to work in New York pay taxes in New York.

This is the same in forty two other states that have also not waved these taxes.

    Nice try though

As far as I know Cuomo is the only governor to force nursing homes to accept Covid19 positive patients.

That decision killed a lot of vulnerable seniors.

Cuomo has killed more people than Kevorkian.

Volunteers are absolutely paid. When natural disasters hit in Texas and Florida my company asked for volunteers to assist the local utility companies. Some states have a jock tax if that is the sort of tax you're referring to with the mentioning of 42 states, but going to NY to save lives is not the same as a jock tax.

What's ironic here is that democrats, because of the chinavirus, have called for suspending, if not outright waiving, rent payments and mortgage payments. And before the chinavirus was ever a thing, democrats wanted to hand out freebies, waive tuition payments, and all sorts of other stuff. But now when they have a chance to waive a tax, they won't.

Imagine if I rushed into a situation where I put my life on the line to save yours and you charged me for it.

NY because of years of failed leftist policies was in a massive fin. crisis prior to the Rona outbreak.....I'm not surprised they are using these outbreak to try and recoup some funds.

By definition a volunteer is not paid.
Companies that send paid employees to supplement disaster efforts are paid workers — thus the tax.
This is the same in all states with an income tax

If you “rushed into a situation where you put my life on the line to save mine” and you were paid a wage, you will be taxed on that wage.
This is the same in all states with an income tax

Is the federal government waving taxes on these people?
    What about red states?
    Are you complaining about them?

Why are they not simply being killed as necessary to avoid the rest of the states falling to the same pattern?

    This is embarrassing. And shameful.

What a way to discourage volunteers when you need them next time.

Anyway, come to florida and volunteer, the weather is great, beaches are open. Restaurants as well. No state taxes, and hospitals are only half full so it wont be difficult work.

It's a win win win, and since Cuomo is a terrible person, he gets what he deserves, nothing.

No, they are not. It is the people bringing the Chinese virus into the nursing homes that are the problem.

Is this a deflection, distraction or a derailment?

I can never figure out the difference.

I am proud of you for not mentioning trum . But I know you were thinking about him.

If I were a volunteer I would never send one penny in taxes back to that state but I would be sure to send a sample of my stool to both Fredo's brother and Mayor Big Bird.

It discussing the lies made in the OP which is neither a deflection, a distinction or a derailment. It is just the way taxes work around the nation and how they have worked for a pretty significant period.

A deflection would be justifying something by arguing it isn’t as bad as something else
A distraction would be bringing up issues not relevant to the discussion but loosely correlated
A derailment would be talking about something that is not on topic, usually with emotionally charged rhetoric

Your psychic ball is broken and as usual you have nothing to add to the conversation. Your obsession with trump is noted however.

This should be an exception. Another example of a politician that cares more about power than the people.
