Well, if 25-year-olds don't mind almost certainly wrecking the economy, and taking a minor risk the virus will kill you or impact your long-term health, they can let 'er rip. There may be long-term immunity--or not.

Another approach was taken by British Columbia (5m people) in Canada. Young people there have cooperated. Nonessential businesses likely to spread the virus, bars, clubs, dine-in service at restaurants, events with more than fifty people, barbers, hair salons, nail salons, some public parks, and schools were closed. There was no stay-at-home order. The got down to a small number of new cases and then began to reopen.

Young people have been paid $500/week to sit tight if they have a job in a business that has been closed. Many knew they would get their job back if the new case load came down. Reason to cooperate? I think so.

Most retail businesses have reopened. Park, beaches, pubs, schools, theaters, beauty salons, barbers--open.

Here, it's pretty obvious people are holding back, avoiding stores, etc. because they don't want to get the virus for one reason or other. The authorities are beginning to close businesses again. The economy is likely to stall again.

Canadians go after the perps. We can if they can. After Vancouver lost the Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins, a bunch of criminals started a riot, trashed businesses, looted--the usual BS. Taxes need to be higher to sustain this level of spending--and l'm referring to the $1t deficit, double what it was under Obama. We were going in the wrong direction before the virus.

She's been a remarkably good Governor. She trusted the people of her state to stay home, or work as they saw fit-and the people there love her for that.

Now in a blue state, where you have totalitarian leaders and perhaps a less than trustworthy population thats not possible.
