I have some news they may come as a shock, arson is a crime, and people are responsible for their own choices and actions.

There is nothing peaceful about the American left. It's most noticed when we get close to an election.

Who was throwing bricks? This is about what caused Trump to send his personal police to Portland. Do you have any evidence that he sent it because somebody threw a brick?

Pallets of bricks, dozens if not hundreds of water bottles frozen solid for assaulting...leftist trash at play.

Do they have neat uniforms like Nixon's palace guard? Tassels and Sam Browne belts and lots of gold and glitter?

The right is/was big on States Rights and now Trump is stomping all over them. I wonder what is up with that.

What arson? Are you saying the reason Trump sent his storm troopers was because protesters lit a fire to the base of where there used to be a statue and that was already damaged and unreparable?

I am wondering to. Why is he doing that?

I find it hard to believe that he didn't know that escalating violence only... escalates violence.

Tell us more about Trump's "personal police". Please don't do your usual dance of diversion. My question is very clear.

I don't know much. That's why they're secret, I guess. But it looks like they're the biggest thugs they could find in different DHS agencies that are not trained, qualified or experienced in the type of activities they are engaged in. But are probably the greatest Trump loyalist sociopaths they could find. Of the type that would flog a guy for coming up to talk to them, or shoot at a woman for dancing naked in front of them. You know... the pride and joy... the elite of the elite... among trumpian thugs. At least that's what they appear to be.

They have done their work: re-ignite the anger and violence in a city (Portland) where it was dying down to much for Trump's sadistic taste. There might be some other explanation other than sadism for what Trump is doing. But I can't think of one.

Sorry I missed the conspiracy theory where the president has personal police... As if that makes any sense.

There were riots. They were destroying buildings and property. Sooner or later they would damage federal buildings. Why do you insist on minimizing the riots. Just admit they are taking place and they are very destructive.

They lit a fire against the exterior of an occupied structure. That act was FAR more "violent". It should have been met with deadly force.

That's contrary to the version of events he would have us believe.

New speak... Riots are peaceful. Burning buildings down is protest. Murdering people is demonstration.

Funny when they call anybody else fascist isn't it?

Sure. If they had wanted to turn the protests into ... maybe something akin to insurrection.

As it is, they didn't respond with deadly force. They didn't respond (as far as I know) by even arresting those who lit the fire. They responded by sending a contingent of feds to attack peaceful protesters. The backlash was not quite something akin to insurrection... but most definitely, as would be expected, an immense increase in violence.

    Bottom line: an idiotic move.

And it takes a moron to repeat the same mistake twice. But we have a President* who is just the moron to do it. Sorry for the cities that will test the extent of Trump's imbecility.

It wouldn't be turning it into something akin to insurrection. It already was. They tried to burn down a federal courthouse.

You obviously have no idea what "insurrection" (or even something akin) looks like. But you get a better idea if you look at Portland now that these fed forces are there, than before they got there.
