Looks as if somebody explained to Trump that preventing old folks from sending in their ballots costs him votes.

Trump on Tuesday reversed his irrational sniveling about mail-in voting -

FYI, there is a link that identifies Republican election malfeasance.

Trump hates free and fair elections just like he hates all of the democratic principles of this country. All I see on the republican side of this argument is a bunch of snowflakes crying how they are going to lose the next elections badly and already desperate to make lies and excuses. The entire Trump presidency has been lies and excuses, including Trump lying that there were millions of illegal votes in the last presidential elections, without a shred of evidence. Calling the last election rigged without a shred of evidence. Claiming this election will be rigged without a shred of evidence. And claiming mail in voting is a fraud without a shred of evidence.

No what the republican party does is desperately try to suppress the vote. So expect more republican led voter purges, republican led closing of polling places in black neighborhoods, etc. Sad, that republicans can't just win by getting more votes. Republicans haven't received more votes in years.

Trump despises the type of people who support him too. There is no chance he would let those folks into Mar A Lago. LOL

Are we allowed to engage in ridiculous/infantile personal attacks like this now?

    Cool beans!

For those of you who support Nevada's system of sending unsolicited ballots to all registered voters:

What prevents someone from voting in person on election day, having sent in his mail-in ballot the night before?

You sure they aren't sending APPLICATIONS for mail in ballots?

I think you ought to check

Odd that Trump thinks mail in ballots are fine in Florida but not in Nevada...

    I wonder why?

Look at you, avoiding the question.
    No one is surprised.

(CNN)The state of Nevada has approved a plan to send absentee ballots to all active voters this November, a major expansion of mail-in voting in the battleground state.
    https://www.cnn.com/2020/08/03/politics/nevada-mail-ballots-registered-voters/index.html

    So, I ask again:

What prevents someone from voting in person on election day, having sent in his mail-in ballot the night before?

Your failure to understand the difference between unsolicited ballots sent to all registered voters and absentee ballots that have to be applied for.

By all means explain the fraud part. How exactly would that occur?

There will be a record of those two votes. Doing that is illegal and can cost time in prison and heavy penalties.

Who is that stupid? And guess what? We'd KNOW immediately

Once one vote hits the registrar...anything else would be discarded and questions would be asked.

Question dont they have data year by year of the number of votes cast? So wouldn't it be easy to see massive jumps in votes cast and see fraud?

Idk but wouldnt it be caught just based on year by year vote totals? Like '08 10k votes '12 13k votes '16 14k votes '20 25k votes

Actually not really. Voter turnout changes year by year...sometimes in great amounts and this year particularly has the potential to be a YUGE turnout year

How do you know? What mechanism in the state law tracks this?

Maybe so - but at that point, what do you do?
    Count all the ballots?
    Throw them all out?
    What does the law say?

You can bet that's exactly what will happen - regardless who win.
Except, of course, you can't 'do over' an election.
