"CNN was widely mocked late Wednesday after an on-air graphic that was broadcasted a day earlier went viral. CNN national correspondent Omar Jimenez was reporting live in the early hours on Tuesday morning on the unrest that had taken place in Kenosha, Wis., following the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake. Jimenez was standing in front of a raging fire and the chyron at the bottom of the screen read, "FIERY BUT MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTESTS AFTER POLICE SHOOTING." The image, which didn't surface until Wednesday night, sparked jokes across social media. "Clowns. Irresponsible clowns. It’s not even funny. Months of enabling violence and destruction by ignoring and downplaying it, thereby eliminating any pressure on politicians to take action," conservative writer A.G. Hamilton reacted. "The Most 2020 headline you'll ever read..." comedians the Hodge Twins quipped. "'Fiery but mostly peaceful protest' is so absurd that if it were satire you’d think it was lazy and unimaginative," National Republican Senatorial Committee senior adviser Matt Whitlock wrote. "The phrase 'beyond parody' doesn’t begin to describe this," conservative commentator Matt Walsh said. https://www.foxnews.com/media/cnn-p...tly-peaceful-protest-in-front-of-kenosha-fire This isn't the first time they have done this. It's getting to be a habit with CNN.
MSDNC: MSNBC's Ali Velshi says situation not 'generally speaking unruly' while standing outside burning building "I want to be clear on how I characterize this. This is mostly a protest. It is not, generally speaking, unruly but fires have been started and this crowd is relishing that," Velshi told Williams. "There is a deep sense of grievance and complaint here, and that is the thing. That when you discount people who are doing things to public property that they shouldn't be doing, it does have to be understood that this city has got, for the last several years, an issue with police, and it's got a real sense of the deep sense of grievance of inequality." https://www.foxnews.com/media/msnbc...mostly-a-protest-as-building-burns-behind-him
Except for the fact that this isn't a peaceful joke for these communities. BLM took a huge step by going after stand alone apartment buildings in Kenosha by setting them on fire.
When I saw this on Facebook I thought it was a joke. This can’t be real. Are they truly that demented?
If they could just roast some marshmallows and sing the Coca Cola song about wishing the world had more hippies , the fires would seem a lot more peaceful
