Minneapolis to name Stretch of street for Floyd The Minneapolis City Council voted Friday to add the commemorative street name of George Perry Floyd Jr. Place to a portion of Chicago Avenue. According to court records in Harris County, which encompasses George Floyd’s hometown of Houston, authorities arrested him on nine separate occasions between 1997 and 2007, mostly on drug and theft charges that resulted in months-long jail sentences. Lastly, in 2007, authorities arrested and charged Floyd with his most serious crime: aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. --- Outstanding citizen of the county to be sure. I wonder how many streets in Minneapolis are named for a hometown soldier who died in action in WW2?
The soldiers who died in WW2 are actual heroes who.gave their lives to build what we have today. Those who support thugs like Floyd are trying to steal what they can.
How's this? Monroe, Michigan south of Detroit annually holds a Custer Week, celebrating George Armstrong Custer, whose immense horseback-mounted statue has resided for years in that town. https://military.wikia.org/wiki/George_Armstrong_Custer_Equestrian_Monument And the week to celebrate. The mind staggers, however, at this.... http://armchairgeneral.com/8th-annual-custer-week-monroe-county-mi.htm
That will be the most pristine two block stretch of pavement in the world because nobody dares drive past that intersection without a Humvee in support.
Unreal. I remember when they gave a huge funeral for Floyd and made it live coverage. They make it seem like a Pope died.
