I’ve seen some pretty crazy predictions online which include even the start of civil war II, and wanted to discuss here what you think you will do if your candidate loses tomorrow. I voted for Trump. I don’t love the guy. I don’t consider him to be the best president. I just happen to dislike him less than I dislike Biden. So, what will I do if Trump loses? I’ll go to bed that evening and on the next morning I will get up and continue living my life. The US president is a relatively weak figure when it comes to internal politics. The head of the executive branch of the federal government has virtually no impact on my every day life. My governor affects me quite a bit more than the president. Also, I think it’s important to respect the choice of other citizens and if the opponent wins then this choice should be respected, even if you think that another side was brainwashed. Peacefully resisting censorship or disinformation (whichever side you are on) will achieve results and reconciliation sooner and at a lower cost than having a real violent confrontation.
That's easy for you to say. If you lose, Biden will be the President. If I lose... it'll be Trump. Most likely I'll become a Monk in the Himalayas.
If Trump wins, I hope America survives the next 4 years without suffering any significant damage. This is very unlikely but possible.
You promise? The doom and gloom prediction of 2016, the reality was enormous prosperity, peace, destruction of terror organizations, troop withdrawal, peace between Israel and arabs, stronger, better funded NATO, better trade agreements, full employment .... 4 more years of this horror, who can possibly remain unscathed?
Stock up on food, ammo and gunsmithing tools. I'm doing that anyway oc, but maybe a little faster if Biden wins.
Will you complain afterwards "I didn't want that happen!", or will you deny having voted for the crooked Donald?
Oh of course, your devil is much eviler than his devil. Because you say so. Meantime, do you promise? (my italics)
If Kamala Harris wins the presidency -- because she is the actual presidential candidate for the DNC -- I will shrug and continue going about my business. But whether Trump wins or loses I fully intend to remove The Drudge Report and Fox News from my bookmarks because . . . well have you accessed The Drudge Report lately? You'd think that instead you had stumbled across The Huffington Post or The Daily Kos. It's no longer Right of Center in any meaningful way, shape, or form. Ditto for Fox News. That outlet is not as overtly anti-Trump and anti-conservative as The Drudge Report, but you can see it getting there. So I figure I will either celebrate -- or mildly mourn -- by cleaning house regarding my internet viewing habits.
I don't have a candidate really. I think the middle class is royally screwed if Biden/Harris wins. If Trump wins, I doubt he does anything else other than fund raise for his "presidential Library At Mar-A-Largo" which only makes him slightly less repulsive.
Who cares about motherf... Israel and Arabs, when ~230k Americans died of Coronavirus and Donald doesn't have a clue how to stop that?
I voted by mail a couple of weeks ago for Biden. Trump's childish behavior such as calling others names and throwing temper tantrums along with his third grade bulling antics really gets my goat. Biden comes across as the adult in the room. If Biden wins, fine. If Trump wins, so be it. No president has really had an effect on my life regardless of who that president was or from what party. Wednesday morning will be just another Wednesday morning just like the thousands of Wednesday mornings I have already lived through. Life will continue on until it doesn't regardless of who is president or who wins tomorrow. I'll just accept the winner without celebration or a gloom of doom attitude.I voted and that is all I can do. The rest I have no control over. I never have worried about things I can control or help. So be it.
You mean Trump is supposed to know better regarding dealing with this pandemic than the entire European Union which is again being swamped by COVID19 cases? Oh and if Trump is getting blamed for 230k U.S. deaths then he also must get praised for NINE MILLION recoveries from COVID-19.
LOL, 2 Israeli/Arab peace agreement in 75 years before Trump, 3 Israeli/Arab peace agreements by Trump in less than 4 years. By far the most explosive and long lasting conflict of our time, the primary source of islamic extremism and terrorism, the conflict universally expected to trigger WWIII and a planetary nuclear catastrophe sooner or later has been all but resolved by #45, President Donald J. Trump... and libs don't care. Too funny
FOX has been OMB-lite since he announced in 2015. They were righty flavored establishment whores long before that. Drudge having fallen is a somewhat more recent event.
You're exaggerating, my Turkish friend. Muslims and Jews in Palestine can kill each other for another 60 years. It doesn't matter to the rest of the world.
One of the interesting things about this question is liberals tend to have better options than conservatives when they feel that their country has gone so far astray that they need to escape. By which I mean liberals have a variety of other first world countries they can move to, which often times they wind up doing. Some of them move to Canada, some of them move to Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, the UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland, ect Conservatives on the other hand are more limited, there aren't a lot of options when it comes to moving to more conservatives countries, because on a global scale conservative countries tend to be less prosperous than liberal countries. If you're a conservatives living in the US, your options are to move to a second world country, or move to a more liberal country, which defeats the whole purpose of escaping your own country because of its liberal leadership
