Maybe you didn't but Trump himself and many of his allies did. Down to the crazy Powell calling this a conspiracy by Hugo Chavez (who's been dead for 7 years), and calling her lawsuits The Kraken. How histrionic is that, and how crazy is a conspiracy attributed to a dead person???
That really has nothing to do with this thread, but I've already posted my comments about "the Kraken" on this forum.
I agree with other posters who basically said the Democrats and liberals on the site are enjoying themselves right now, and the conservatives are just being quiet for the time being. Just wait until Biden has to actually govern, which I expect to be a s-it show, if you know what I mean. When China Joe actually has to do stuff, I'm sure the conservatives on the site are going to be much more vocal.
It does have to do with what YOU said; histrionics. You were the one who introduced this word. Don't you think that her characterization of her lawsuits (which have been laughed out of court) qualify as histrionics? If it doesn't, I don't see what else does. I don't know what you said elsewhere of it, since you didn't volunteer this information and I'm not exactly a follower of your posts. In my opinion, though, that's histrionics. So, YOU accused some anti-Trumpers of histrionics. I'm just showing to you that some pro-Trumpers exhibit the same trait.
I think there are more Trump bashers than others on PF, and the Trump basher contingent has many more strident players, but overall it is reasonably balanced. The moderators, while not perfect (who is???), do a very credible job of treating everyone fairly, unlike another unnamed forum that officially threw Trump supporters off.
I think the forum is generally balanced between left & right. What is out of whack is how few non partisans we have. I do tend to talk to them more, because people who don't have to constantly spin themselves into pretzels to make what their guy did okay, are easier to talk to about politics, in general. That said, I'm finding there are more non partisan voices now, compared to even a year ago. I've been trying to spend more time in the non political forums, because I also want to get along with people I disagree with, politically. There are some fun threads out there.
I agree completely. I'm in the same boat - I started on forums somewhere in the 2000's. There was definitely much more respect for both sides of the issue. People weren't nearly so dug into their party, that they couldn't see what was right in front of their noses. My problem with issues discussions these days is that too many people now think in black & white. I'm a nuanced thinker, so I can't ever sum up a position in a Tweet. For example, I don't support government run, national health care. If I say what we are doing isn't working, though, I am automatically deemed a socialist. Partisans hate nuance. I got polled this year - a follow up question was if I support BLM. The answers were yes or no. That's not a yes/no question. My position on this is pretty nuanced.
It is absolutely not. And you're right about the mods, they're on me like white on rice but when I report to them nothing happens... This site is laid out very much like debatepolitics.com. Which is fine however that site is based in Normal, IL just down the street from from the Neo-Nazi Creativity Movement HQ in Bloomington IL. Look at the Google map, there aren't even any turns to get from the former to the latter. I can't confirm that this site is part of debatepoltics.com but considering the hate speech the TRUMPERS get away with and the warnings and thread deletions I get there's a pretty good chance that it's affiliated in some way. I will continue to investigate this important matter. But in the meantime if this happens to be deleted shortly my assumption will be confirmed.
LOL. Make unsubstantiated accusations in violation of a published rule. Then say actions in response that rule violation prove the unsubstantiated accusations to be true. Good luck with that. Thanks for the humor. Much appreciated. We need more humor here.
Here's how this works, the political 'winners' in a forum like this get the high ground, the bragging rights, and get to throw figurative rotting eggs at the political losers who offered up all kinds of silly prognostications for the last 6 months that did not pan out. The political losers seem to find other things they'd rather do, than get their own posts thrown in their faces, so they tend to lay low for awhile. We lost a lot of posters who predicted that same sex marriage would never ever ever become the law of the land, that SCOTUS would never affirm a gay couple had a fundamental right to marry, that we never saw again. Its hard to be a trump supporter these days in a place like this. They will come back when they think we have run out of eggs to throw or that our arms must be getting too sore. As for me, I keep icing and heating every night, so that the ol arm is good by morning!
You bet I am, but I do not wish to be pigeon holed any further than rabidly anti-Trump the grub. "China Joe?" Really? That is a convenient political smear not founded in solid evidence. Don't fret Sheriff, Biden will retire in 12 months or so, and then you get to have your evil way with Kamala. And best of all........I will become less vitriolic, as I have done my little bit to see this century's Caligulan, Humpty Trumpty fall off that wall.
I think it is reasonably balanced. If it isn't then it isn't the fault of those who operate the site. Their rules are not partisan.
