I have a pretend fly catching cat but unfortunately he's not very good at it. Thank God one rarely gets inside. He's like a destructive tornado and leaves chaos in his wake.

My wife brought home a kitten. The kitten was excited to be here. It was butting heads and rubbing up against us from the get go. My wife found it in the woods on the side of the road. It had worms... the fleas so bad it was anemic and skinny. We dewormed him, got rid of the fleas and fed him well. For a while he became a holy terror. He would knock things off tables just to watch them fall. He would rip through the place like crazy, destroyed paper towels, and other acts of general destruction. He is getting a little better now.

Maybe he thinks if you swat them you might swat him. When my dog was a small puppy he was doing something I didn't want him to do, I slapped my leg with a paper towel roll and he stuck his butt up in the air and barked at me. It was so cute I wanted to pick him up and cuddle him.

Yes, that's what we think. "Oh my god, dads turned into a monstrous fly murderer again, maybe I'm next"

Have I mentioned my part-time kitten/young cat? Down at the work flop house. Started coming around during the summer as a kitten with siblings and Mom, now on her own. Me, being a sucker for cats, have been feeding her, rigged up her own little shelter from the rain, with heated pad for the those chilly nights.

Well, I broke down and bought a $1 cat toy this weekend.... and Hussy is in absolute heaven.....

She hasn't damaged anything, is rather well mannered, but then again, she isn't in the house when I'm not there.

I have found nothing that fascinates them as much as a roll of toilet paper. It is just so much fun to roll it off the roll. Taking slap shots at the dogs was another favorite thing to do. Our little heeler still hates the cat, the cat still takes a swipe at her and runs under a chair. The cat was a brave little guy from the start. The heeler tolerated him when he was small, now she wants to attack him.

You don't live near a chicken farm...there is one about a mile or so down the road and when they open the houses to ship the chickens we get the flies.

It's my fault for letting him stay. At times he can be so sweet.

You do realize you didn't have a decision in the matter? If a cat decides he likes it some place, other than flat out harm, not much will make them leave. You don't adopt them, they adopt you.

I wanted a vine plant, but the one I liked most was too big. According to the internet, it's hard to kill. So, I made two plants out of it.

You think we need to break out the shovels and go looking for him? He could be grumpy but sometimes you need grumps just to disagree with and know things aren’t as bad as they seem.
