Cheney on Trump: 'He's going to unravel the democracy to come back into power'

No he’s not. He is too incompetent and lazy, and malignant narcissism is a tiresome quality. Nobody beyond his cult wants more of the self serving, petulant crap that trump dumped on the country for 4 years.
Everyone has gladly moved on with relief.
Who we need to worry about are the smarter characters who will ape his demagoguery but aren’t crippled by malignant narcissism, like deSantis and others.

 

I tend to agree. I don't see Trump winning another election even if he tries. Democrats would have to dig up someone worse than Hillary Clinton for that to happen.

Rep Cheney is looking at the long game. The Grand Trump party is not going to expand its voting bloc if moderate and conservative republicans are considered pariahs.

 

She showed me her membership card to the true Republican club. Must have gotten it from an illegal.

 

So, in other words, it unraveled when it began.

None of this is new. We are less corrupt and more inclusive than we ever have been. That corruption still exists means we're still human. The answer is to continue the fight, not look for blame.

 

So, Cheney has no details on how anyone is actually "unravelling the democracy".. Typical. All noise, and no substance. Typical for a Chicom witch like Liz.

One concern if Trump ever does try to run again, of course, is that we know he knowingly and willingly accepted foreign assistance in 2016, and actively solicited foreign assistance in 2020, so it stands to reason that he would have help from our foreign adversaries again in a hypothetical future run, and would knowingly and willingly accept it again.

None of that proves any foreign cooperation by Trump or his campaign.

He didn't willingly accept any foreign assistance, either. Hillary did, but not Trump.

 

Of course he did, and he even lied about it afterwards, like when he claimed he knew nothing about Wikileaks.

You know, he and people like him can only get away with this nonsense as long as people like you allow him to. It's our responsibility to hold our leaders to account and to some kind of standard.

The problem, of course, is that you believe stupid falsehoods about Democrats, and based on that you tolerate actual abuses and lies from "your guy" with the (R) label.
