What do you mean? A perpetual state of lock-downs and pending vaccinations?

I would think we would have a better grasp on mitigating future outbreaks and developing vaccines because of what has been learned throughout the current pandemic. A huge part of that will be NOT shutting down the world again. Society would collapse otherwise.

I don't know that we're entering a new world of ever-existing pandemics but I'm expecting more to emerge out of China in the future.

You seem to be putting the cart before the horse-- without evidence of another pandemic on the horizon, why would you jump to the assumption that we might have never-ending pandemics? In the story you cite, the Russian farm workers who tested positive for this avian flu virus, had no symptoms. That is, humans seem only to be carriers of this virus. That is worrisome news, mostly for captive birds.

I am not saying that more pandemics are not possible, & perhaps even more probable than in the past (though ever-existent might be a stretch). I am saying that, to start a thread about it, I would expect you to at least speculate about the potential causes of this change. For example, it has been cited that our growing world population is developing more of the Earth's lands, leaving less for strictly wildlife, & so bringing humans into more contact with these creatures. I would note, though, that in this case, there is evidence that the cause of Covid-19 was man experimenting with a virus, in an attempt to get a head-start on a vaccine, in case this mutation would ever naturally occur.

Still, I can see potential causes for concern, with all the artificial substances being introduced into our bodies (pesticides, herbicides, plastics-- it is predicted in the near future that there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish, which mistakenly eat the plastic) which have demonstrated an ability to affect our immune systems, & that have contributed, I believe, to the increasing levels of hormonal, & possibly autoimmune, disorders we are seeing. But these are things I would have anticipated you to have fleshed out in your OP.

What I was aiming for in this thread was something along the lines of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. How would we know that is what underlies why we're having such a bad time of things?

Considering that virologists are warning about this experimental treatment possibly causing worse results, you might have something.

How many vaccines can a human body tolerate?
We're becoming like a...................... walking "cocktail" at happy hour.
Is this how the zombie apocalypse starts? [IMG]

Meh, wearing a mask is the new normal for me - with, or without any pandemic.

One of our options is to do what needs to be done to greatly boost our immune system response and decrease INFLAMMATION in our bodies.

"The difference between Ebola and influenza is that inflammatory response" (Dr. Joseph Ahrens after the 5:50 mark in this video:

An Interview with 2015 Nobel Prize Nominee Dr Joe Ahrens

I am thinking that that particular statement is relevant to more viruses than merely influenza and Ebola!

Doesn't sound like a good time to be a vaxxer either, unless you think every new pandemic is going to come equipped with its own new vaccine as well.
