Liberal K-12 school systems are indoctrinating our children and grandchildren with Critical Race Theory (CRT) that, among other lies, claims America was founded on slavery, our Founders were greedy and evil, our country is racist, and white people have special "privileges' because of their skin color.

I realize that the ultra liberal Marxist professors in our colleges and universities are going to spew CRT nonsense to their students, but I'm concerned about our children and grandchildren here (including my own).

Some states like Florida that has America's greatest governor in Ron DeSantis have already banned this divisive anti-American Marxist propaganda.

Should all states follow that lead and ban CRT as well?

All racism and racially devisive language should be banned from schools including CRT. Be careful about how they sneak it into the curriculum and study materials.

    Yes. Except for private colleges.
And even then, colleges should really not get federal funding.

I agree with this. This is becoming a huge grass roots issue nation wide and parents as well as students are angrily opposing this crap.

It should be up to the parents.

I don't get it. CRT has been a legal tool of civil rights attorneys since 1970, when it was developed as an outgrowth of CLT. Since when is it being taught in k-12 schools?

Probably because they, like you, haven't a clue as to what CRT is or where it came from. Come on, now. Admit it. You don't have a clue!

I would love to discuss this with you. So we are all on the same page, in your opinion, what is CRT and how is it racially divisive?

CRT's foundation is 100% an agenda. The use of the word "theory" tries to insinuate that there is some scientific basis where there is none. Agendas have no place in educational institutions.

Perhaps we should also ban "creationism"

My point is those that would like to do one might not like to ban another. Those seeking to ban CRT want to do so because of political beliefs that opens the door for those with different political beliefs.

Creationism is at least based on scientific theory; CRT is not.

Do you dislike the freedom of speech? Teaching a theory that undermines basic American rights isn't all that good an idea.

    You surely missed the point.

Seems to me that my proposel enhances freedom of speech and the one you seem to support restricts it....

YES. It is designed to weaken our country so that Marxism can control the rubble.

It enhances freedom of speech to force someone to agree that all whites are racist, even if they don't know it? Courts should find that violates freedom of speech. You cannot be forced to say something by a public official.

You need only to review the thread's OP to give you the reason how and why CRT is racially divisive. The leftist teachers teaching CRT are also full blown Marxists themselves, as teaching CRT is just another class in teaching Marxism to our youth.

You do understand that CRT is not a noun, rather it is a verb. It is a legal tool developed by the legal academy in 1970. It didn't become an issue until it was weaponized by Rufo. I suspect that most of those railing against it, including yourself, don't know what it is or what it is for. You are lumping every effort to teach diverssity with the CRT label, and I suspect that none of them are.

Rufo wouldn't have had anything to complain about if CRT or parts of CRT weren't being smuggled into the schools. It's not like he picked up a 40 year-old college text book and started complaining, lol.

The verb-noun nonsense is just that - a marketing talking point and a flourish of language. Of course CRT is a theory, and theories are nouns. The proof are the core claims that CRT makes to explain a phenomenon. That is clearly a theory.

It is neither a theory or an agenda. It is a legal tool developed by the legal academy in 1970 and most had never heard of it until it was weaponized by Rufo. You should learn a little about your subject before you appear in any forum spewing your uninformed nonsense.

You couldn't be more wrong. I don't care whether CRT is a noun, a verb or the initials of its's Marxist owner. Once again, read the OP that is backed up with children telling their parents of the divisive, racist and downright indoctrination by these Marxist teachers to make whites feel like they've been privileged and have kept blacks down. Somewhere on this forum I put a series of videos with parents at school meetings screaming their outrage over the racist-Marxist teaching to their children. This uprising over CRT is going on all across the nation, and if you don't watch FOX TV then you're probably and most likely never going to get the truth behind the damage created by this CRT scourge.

It doesn't force people to agree anything even if they don't know it. To say that an idea can't be presented enhances free speech is an oxymoron.

Creationism is a religious belief with not a nanogram of science behind it.
