Which part? What did it say before and what does it say now?

Jesus is the son of god. Jews don't have to agree with that. Thanks for confirming the "Paul the liar" claim was nonsense.

This interpretation could also be used to support marriage to unwilling partners, infants, or sheep. So, no, this interpretation is definitely incorrect.

When people don't bother with basic reading comprehension, there is no reason to discuss things with them.

Not every love is the romantic kind. What would it mean when a father loves his son, or daughter, or when sister loves her sister or brother? Incest? No.

As a matter of fact, there are is one, but FOUR kinds of love (Eros, Storge, Philia, and Agape) . You see homosexuality in everything, but not everyone does. David loved Jonathan as a brother, but as the Bible teaches us his passion (and weakness) was women, - even married ones.

Meant to say "there is not one, but four kinds of love". So, David loved Jonathan as a brother, while Ruth loved here mother-in-law (Naomi) as a family member, - like her own mother.

Eros - Romantic love as in wife-husband relationship
Storge - Love between family members
Philia - Bond between friends, like brothers-in-arms
Agape - 100% selfless unconditional love

Even Peter was confused about it. Jesus asked him three times "do you love me (word = agape)" and Peter answered "of course I love you (word = philia)".

It seems you (Derideo) would have answered "of course I love you (word = eros)"

    Predictable theist kneejerk denialism!

    Priceless!

James, the BROTHER of Jesus, was 100% accurate when he called Paul out for LYING and BLASPHEMING about Jesus.

Two GROWN men kissing and crying in each other's arms while expressing their love for each other given that the homophobic King Saul wanted to murder Johnathon, David's lover, is clearly Eros for anyone who has an open mind.

Jesus hung around with a bunch of guys, some of them sailors, and the only women in his life were his mother and a prostitute.

Then you bring up the FACT that at least one of the guys openly admitting to loving Jesus.

Your bible ENDORSES all kinds of love INCLUDING homosexual love.

Sad that you cannot appreciate that your own IMAGINARY deity is about LOVE in ALL of it's varied forms.

They were simple questions, but apparently you choose to deflect.

    Why make stuff up?

No, it's Eros to you, and obvious to everyone else. You see homosexuality in everything as evidenced in your posts.

Yes, Peter loved Jesus as did all other Apostles. They loved Him as their lord and savior knowing He was son of God. As a matter of fact all but one died violent deaths for serving Him.

Not making up ANYTHING at all!

Only those who choose to DENY what is actually WRITTEN in your bible are trying to "make up" fictitious excuses for the REALITY that David and Johnathon and Ruth and Naomi were LBGTQ.

But let me ask you this question?

Why are you so afraid that there are LBGTQ people in your bible?

They EXIST everywhere else and HISTORY establishes that they have always existed.

So WHY is it so SCARY that they are in your bible too?

Simply put, = The Bible does not say that, and nor does it support your claim about James calling Paul a liar.

It is not scary, its just false and dishonest. Its gay propaganda. Why are you so scared of the truth?

You see homosexuality in everything, even in a relationship between friends and family members. Go figure.

Feel free to believe anything you want.

Self serving distortions are everywhere. There's another quack religious group who believes that the "iron rod" in the bible is a reference to guns.

Here is a link that documents ALL of the LIES told by Paul in YOUR bible.

    https://www.judaismvschristianity.com/chapter-9-paul-a-liar/

And that is just ONE example of Paul's HABITUAL LYING in the bible.

So NOW you are saying that your own bible is "false and dishonest" when it records David and Johnathon crying in each other's arms because King Saul wants to KILL David's lover?

Obviously only ONE of us is "scared of the truth" and it certainly is NOT me because here is what you bible tells us they were doing.

    https://biblehub.com/1_samuel/20-41.htm

How is QUOTING the ACTUAL words in YOUR bible "false and dishonest"?

I find a good way to get rid of Jehovah’s Witnesses is a conversation like this:

Me ‘do you believe in the Ten Commandments?’
    Them ‘yes’
Me ‘including thou shalt not kill?’
    Them ‘yes’
Me ‘then how come you’re wearing leather shoes?’
Them ‘God says we have domain over the animals’
Me ‘that means to care for them, not kill them…and that includes fish! Come back when you are fully Vegan or at least Vegetarian, and when you have jumped through the hoops where you justify Jesus indicating he believes in the Commandments, yet he will feed 5000 on dead fish’.

    They don’t come back.

I would suggest using a translation which more closely matches reading ability.

    Exodus 20:13 NLT
    “You must not murder."

Because animals are slaughtered to create meat and other products, killed intentionally and usually with foresight which I believes differentiates in the human construct between murder and 'man'slaughter.
Whatever the translation, zillions of 'Christians' throughout the ages have accepted that one of the commandments is 'Thou shalt not kill'. Simple as that.
