Yes. @Eleuthera confirmed he meant the vaccine has caused the infection rates to spike. He didn't source that which is why I asked for additional information.

The vaccine would not need to cause the infection per se for the relationship to be causal. Just saying.

Understood. I was more interested in @Eleuthera's reason behind the original statements.

Silly human - rates go up as people get vaccinated because people get complacent about health protocols thinking
the vaccinations that other people get mean "safety" for all. People start thinking they can go to crowded places because
the majority might be vaccinated - but this can be a false hope since a number of people are not vaccinated and the vaccine
isn't 100% effective. It's a moronic statement to claim that the vaccine itself is the cause of the virus - it's human behavior.

Lets say in a crowd of people that 60% are vaccinated and are therefore 75% less likely to develop an infection. What are ones chances of getting sick?
If one does become sick, what happens to transmission rates if 60% of people the infected person comes in contact with only become sick 25% of the time?

    Here's a timely update:

In some cases, yes, hospitals are overflowing:

"Hospitals around the state report putting emergency room patients in beds in hallways ...Some hospitals are again banning visitors or postponing elective surgeries."

Not much detail in that blurb. I wonder if there's a reason.

Trump was just saying what others were saying long before he said anything, it was a hope, it was wrong, does not mean it was any of his fault. Thing is, masks get hot down here, so I have valves, and to hell with anyone that doesn't like my valves.

Like one nurse said, yes, their hospital was overflowing but only 6% were Covid patients.

Florida is sending old people without symptoms home and not giving them a hospital bed, what up with that?

thought republicans said hospitals should admit them regardless of symptoms

Trump made a call, it was wrong, I agree, it was a new virus many mistakes made, Trump playing it down after he knew it was a real threat was wrong

As COVID admissions spiral, Memorial Health in South Broward suspends elective surgeries
Elective surgeries at Memorial Healthcare System hospitals in South Broward will be suspended beginning Monday because rising numbers of COVID-19-positive patients have exacerbated a shortage of nurses and created a run on oxygen to treat those hospitalized with the respiratory virus.

“We are seeing a surge like we’ve not seen before in terms of the patients coming,” Dr. Marc Napp, chief medical officer for Memorial Health, said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Well, I will not be hiding under my bed and urinating over this tonight. Or tomorrow. Or all year.

Sorry, it's several months old and I don't have time to research right now. Numerous sites have written about it. Humans Are Free, The Vaccine Reaction, Brighteon with Mike Adams.

Israel, India, and Indonesia are 3 countries I remember.

Yes, many describe what is going on as genocide. If they don't actually die, is it still genocide?

Understand it or not, this event was planned by wicked men.

Certainly playing it down was the biggest mistake, he paid for that by LOSING.

When no masks were available, not even online, I wore my motorcycle helmet, and in Florida in a store, vents closed, it gets hot too; I even saw a spittle hit the shield once, right about where my freaking eye was. People just need to use their own brains, like hell, they didn't open the freaking windows on busses in New York until months after it was a problem; enclosed environment no air chaos, really nice way to spread it. They closed our beach, that lasted a about a day until brains took over; busses with windows closed really dangerous, motorcycle riding not so dangerous, outside on a windy beach no more problem than a bike.

FACT: Florida's current 12,000 + covid hospitalizations are LAB CONFIRMED COVID HOSPITALIZATIONS, thus, excludes suspected/probable.

As usual, Hoosier8 is full of manure, and in an effort to discredit REALITY, he's using an unsubstantiated third party info.

The number of cases in my county is up but so is the testing and if you overlay to charts they correlate. The number of deaths is NOT up, 1 or 2. The number of vaccinations are also way up. So are people who even have the slightest symptom getting tested now? I know people who were previously hesitant about getting vaccinated and are now getting theirs, I asked the lady at my Walmart pharmacy are they see an uptick and she rolled her eyes up and said OH YEA.

So good more people getting tested, great more people getting vaccinated and greater yet no real uptick in deaths.

The reason you see a rise in Florida is because this is Florida's Winter. What happens in Winter, people stay inside with dryer air and less airflow. In the summer people in Florida stay inside.

    It's not winter in Florida.

    "In winter people stay inside"
    "In summer people stay inside"

Any nonsense to whitewash Florida's terrible response to the virus

"DeSantis just added another, less flattering distinction to his résumé. When COVID first surged across the Sun Belt last summer, the average number of Floridians dying of the disease every 24 hours peaked at 185, according to the New York Times’s state-by-state COVID database. The same was true over the winter.
A few days ago, however, Florida’s daily death rate cleared 200 for the first time, and today it stands at 228 — an all-time high."

Old news, Florida already passed peak deaths and are at their lowest now.
