So many good choices. I can't pick a fav (which is odd for me- I'm usually most capable of defining such things). Gyros, tortas and hamburgers top the list. In all cases I prefer beef with the exception of gyros, which really are best with the traditional lamb. Oh wait, elk and buffalo burgers... I dunno man. I can't choose.
Not bad, but I would like that with a bunch of thin sliced ham. A Monte Cristo is good. (ham, swiss, and turkey in french toast) Patty melt (burger, cheese, grilled onions on toasted rye) This is best enjoyed with a quality IPA or hearty red wine. Good sandwiches!
I just had the first sandwich I've made in years/it's been a while since I made one or even bought a loaf of bread. I went for No added sugar loaf; first time I bought bread in years. I just fixed myself a ham and mild cheddar with lettuce and mayo on whole wheat sandwich with the pro active margarine I use and crisps/potato chips on the side to take with my anti inflammation medicine (Naproxen) with while my thumb heals resting in its thumb splint. It was easy and I forgot how it feels not to have to cook. Tomorrow I'm going to cook up this steak I bought just for this sandwhich and toast the bread and have steak and archicoke and truffle pesto with rocket lettuce because I saw it in a YouTube video of something I've got and it looked good so I'm going to make this tomorrow. I've not had this sandwich before but it's something I want to try. My bread's good until the 23rd of March.
I gave up looking for rye bread today. I found a bunch of bread, but not rye bread. I haven't bought or liked bread in years, and I have a sandwich in mind I want to make (that steak and artichoke and truffle pesto with rocket lettuce on toasted bread sandwich); so I figured, it's been so long, I won't be missing anything if this sugar free bread doesn't taste as good as regular, and went for a sugar free bread. But I set out with rye bread in mind and to my surprise I couldn't find it today.
I temporarily lost my hearing for a month in one ear (didn't think it'll ever come back) so immersed myself with the Xbox playing 12 hours a day and gave myself 'Gamer's Thumb' ... that and my unfriendly tap/faucet as I first noticed a problem after 12 hours on a new video game doing a stack of dishes. My hearing came back in the end/last week; but now my thumb's healing from the repetitive un natural movement stresses caused by excessive gaming. It was feeling better the other day so I picked up a guitar to keep the muscles active in that hand (my picking hand/strumming hand thumb), guess that undid some of my healing as it hurt again after. It's feeling better now but to heal I need to rest it in this splint and take those meds. Thank you for asking.
Lately I have been on an open faced roast turkey, red onion, grated white cheddar topped with pepper and home made bang bang sauce kick. I am sure I will move onto something else in due course.
Currently, maple and brown sugared turkey on a toasted white Luscio roll, mayoracha (mayo + siracha) lettuce, tomato, sprouts, provo cheese, lil salt and pep and that's my sando!
