    HYPERLINK has full story

    snip

The Biden administration has asked some of the world’s largest oil-consuming nations to consider releasing some of their crude reserves in a coordinated effort to lower prices and stimulate the economic recovery, according to several people familiar with the matter.

    end snip

Interesting. The folks in power issued executive orders to stop the pipeline and to cancel leases for drilling. That naturally kills our oil independence. Now, instead of doing the right thing and bringing us back to energy independence, the Democrats look to the rest of the world to solve a problem created by Democrats in this country.

Seriously, that is the logic for which Democrat voters voted

Please lord save us from Democrat policies as they hurt everyone

Democrat votes have consequences; always painful

Waste of fuel. Releasing the entire reserve would only reduce gasoline prices by about 19 cents per gallon. Put the U.S. back in the oil production business.

You have no idea how this works, or you're being disingenuous on purpose for some reason.
Pipeline and leases for drilling are maybe years from production, pipelines the longest. Oil reserves already exist in tanks, so they are much more useful in the short term......
But you already knew that, right? Makes the decision by the Biden admin. look pretty smart!
Why are the Democrats tasked with cleaning up the mess left by Republicans, again?

And how did that cause prices to rise? Perhaps you missed the fact that the price rises have all happened this year.

    hmm

so we need to use the oil reserves because of Democrat policies for which you voted which included killing oil leases and pipelines. That in turn drives up future prices. Then we have the cry of Democrat voters calling for release of the oil reserves to solve a problem created by Democrat voters.

    Your vote helped create this

No, if we release the oil reserves TAXPAYERS will have to pay to replace them at higher prices.

Reopen the capped fracking wells and produce more oil.

Actually, we don't. We have 3 years of oil stored, net imports. If we made arrangements with Western Hemisphere suppliers to assure supply and ensured domestic supply was ready to tap, it would make sense to me for us to sell some of this <$30/barrel oil for over $80/barrel.

The Bryan Mound federal government storage site in Freeport, Texas, is part of the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
We have over a 1,000 days, given our current domestic production.
